I am slowly building a connected home using Amazon Echo as my base. I now have 5 connected devices in multiple rooms. I even put one in my office at work. Set up is super easy. Skills get added daily. It is becoming a personal assistant of sorts. I can make phone calls through it without touching my phone, add appointments or meeting to my calendar, get notifications, order food, set alarms, play whatever music I'm in the mood for, listen to the news, sports, and weather and so much more. The home automation is limitless for me too. This thing will even tell me how much gas is in my jeep or if it needs service.

Echo speakers are beautiful, sound wonderful, work with all sorts of other devices and are good with getting information and answering questions. The Google assistants are a bit better at getting information and answering questions (I've tested both with various questions). But the Google speakers don't sound as well, don't look as good and do not play with other devices as well as Echos. The Echos are incredibly easy to set up and have been pretty much trouble free.

I upgraded to the new Echo from an Echo Dot 2 connected to a Big Jambox. The sound is considerably better and the new charcoal grey cloth styling looks terrific. The new 7 microphone array understands commands much better than the Dot.

Customers highly value the Echo (2nd Gen) for its excellent sound quality and ease of use. Many appreciate its convenient size and design, along with the seamless smart home integration. While some users find Alexa's responsiveness and occasional misunderstandings frustrating, the positive feedback on sound and usability outweighs these concerns.
