A: AnswerTo do cool things with your Alexa you will need the proper “smart plugs” or “smart bulb” Accessories , once you get your Alexa purchase these and from there you will be able to turn on and off your smart bulbs , or turn on and off any device that you connect to your smart plug . To add you can also set timers and much much more with these smart Accessories ... if there is any more you would like to know about YouTube will be your best friend . Nice speaker, sound quality is surprising good. Easy to use Alexa as well. Got it on sale at a great price at Best Buy. First time trying an echo, would purchase product again

Premium Sound!
I chose this 4th Gen Echo over the 5th Gen that has a clock. Main reason, I prefer the premium sound with multiple speakers vs the single speaker Gen 5. The sound is amazing compared to the other Echo's I own. I caught it on sale when it was $50. I wish I would have bought an extra one for another room. The price is back to $100. Skip the clock & enjoy the music!
