Q: Can a non-smart tv like Insignia connect with the new Fire cube coming out June 21, 2018?
A: It is awesome, but does not work with every television. I have a Westinghouse 50” and it wasn’t fully compatible. I called customer support, and they went through it with me just to be sure. It turns the tv off, but won’t turn it on or switch inputs.
Q: Will you be able to use a Fire Cube in each room that has a tv or media setup?
A: Yes, you need a separate one for each tv.
Q: Is this cube used instead of a sound bar? We have a 55 in with poor sound?
A: The Fire TV Cube has no audio support, other than for the Alexa voice.
A: You only need internet, however, depending on which streaming services you want to use, there may be monthly subscriptions for some of those. I dropped cable a couple years ago and have only been using streaming devices to watch TV and movies. Currently I am using the Fire Box on one TV and a Firestick on another. I do spend money on some streaming services, however, I am still saving tons of money compared to what cable cost me.

A: I run it on 50 mps and it works great.
