A good buy

Great e-book device
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. The 10th Gen Kids Kindle is a fantastic value. My son uses it daily, and it extremely happy about the number of books he is able to pull up on it. The device is tough, and the case is protective enough. This is the second one we have bought, and both of my kids that have them are happy with them.

Wasted my money
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I was getting a good deal when I purchased this at 50% off. Since summer vacations were around I subscribed for unlimited reading from prime thinking my child can read as much. However it’s very disappointing to see that most books that she adds gives a message that it is incompatible with this reader. Why is this product being sold even if the books that we can read are not compatible on Amazon’s

Also great for adults
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This has no physical changes compared to a normal 10th generation Kindle without advertisements. However, it comes with a free year of Amazon Kids+, extended warranty, and exclusive case design. If you don't have kids, just create a fake child profile and disable auto-renew (you can only do this in a web browser, not the Kindle).

Kindle his love of reading
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This has made a huge difference in our 7 year old grandson's life. Before he was reading maybe a total of 1 hour a week..first week he clocked in at 7.5 hours...second week he was reading 10.5 hours and loving it. The ways he can track his own achievements has been very motivating..and parents can track what he is doing as well. This was worth every penny! This is his activity of choice when he has some free time between his virtual classes...or when he wakes up in the morning...or before he goes to bed at night!

Kindle 2019 review: The entry-level Amazon reader goes after the PaperwhiteAlthough the Paperwhite remains the Kindle to get, the cheapest model now includes an integrated light and an improved design makes it much more appealing.

Amazon Kindle reviewIf you're looking to buy an ereader right now, it's almost certain you'll be looking to buy something from Amazon's Kindle range. With three products on offer, the Kindle family offers something for everyone, with top-end features restricted to

Amazon Kindle review (2019): The Paperwhite gets a run for its moneyAfter years in the darkness, the more affordable Kindle finally gets an illuminated display. This squeezes the gap between this and the Paperwhite to the point where you'll really have to want waterproofing or more storage to justify paying the

Amazon Kindle (2019) Review: A Good Budget E-Reader with One Big ProblemAmazon calls the Kindle a "sanctuary experience," meaning that with the device, you can tune out all external distractions and focus on a book, just like the author intended. Amazon Kindle (2019) ReviewWhat kind of a Kindle reader are you? If you're the large-type sort, the new low-cost Kindle ($89.99) is all the ebook reader you need. It now packs a front light, so you can read in the dark without bothering anyone around you. For most people,

Amazon Kindle (2019) review: A cheap, barebones, and capable e-readerAmazon's cheapest Kindle works fine for reading books, but the low resolution e-ink screen might be a turnoff.

Amazon's entry-level 2019 Kindle is let down by a sub-par displayAmazon's Kindle is of course the brand most think of when they consider buying an e-reader, but competition does exist and the truth is it makes the company's newest entry-level device look like a poor bargain. The price may be low, but this

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the reg kindle 10th addition and the kids addition? Is there the same things on it? Waterproof, etc?
Asked by Barb.
- A:Answer Hello! The Kindle Kids Edition is not waterproof. The Kindle Kids Edition comes with 1 year of FreeTime Unlimited, a kid-friendly cover, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. It has a 6 inch black and white glare-free display and weeks of battery life.

Q: QuestionIf I wanted to buy an alternative cover for the kindle kids edition, what model should I look for. Is it the same size as the current 10th gen model
Asked by Pete70525.
- A:Answer Hello, Pete70525! Thanks for your question about cases for the kids edition Kindle. When looking for the case for the ids edition, you can search for one that is for the 10th generation Kindle. Make sure it isn't for the Paperwhite or the Oasis, though. Those are different models that are shaped a little differently than the Kids Kindle. I hope that helps! Have a great day!

Q: QuestionDoes the Kindle (10th generation) Kids edition - 6" - 8GB work with the Libby App or Hoopla app that many public libraries use? If so, how ? I am looking to suggest this to my students who may have to learn remotely this year, but need direction. Thx.
Asked by Englishteacher.
- A:Answer As far as I know, it is a hard no on Hoopla. With Libby you can sign in and browse on another device, and have it sent to you Kindle via the Amazon store.

Q: QuestionCan the backlight on this kindle be turned completely off to save battery life?
Asked by Lisa.
- A:Answer Hello Lisa, Yes, there is a brightness setting that you can turn all the down so that it looks like a page in a book with no back light. And when you turn the brightness up, it looks more like a backlit tablet, I hope this information helps, have a great day!

Q: QuestionDoes the kids edition come with the 2 year warranty or do I need to buy the best buy one?
Asked by Linds.
- A:Answer Hi Linds, The Kids edition tablets do come with a 2 year worry free guarantee. This warranty is through Amazon, and you would contact them to get it taken care of. As long as you physically have the tablet, it would be covered. Hope this information helps.

Q: QuestionIs this only for kids. Could my 71 years old mom use this to get her books. She reads a lot and has a hard time getting to the library. I understand it has a back light also. Is that correct? Thank you,
Asked by Sue.
- A:Answer Hi Sue, This would be fine for any age. The Kindle does include an adjustable front light which allows you to read in the dark, or adjust for reading in the sunlight. She would need to download books via wifi, or from another storage source such as a computer. The benefit of the kids edition is the extra warranty and kids content that comes with it. The Amazon - All-New Kindle - 6" - 8GB - Black may be a solution for you as well, and then you would just need a cover if that is something that you are interested in. Hope this info helps. Have a great day.
