Great little firecracker for iRacing.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This is my first new build since 2013. I'm going from an old i5-3570k to this 5600x. The primary use is gaming, and the primary game is iRacing. In short, I'm happy. This gives great performance. I primarily use VR. This CPU is paired with a 3080 and I must say I'm very pleased with the performance. Would recommend.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Upgraded from the ryzen 5 1600 and couldn't be happier. All cores boost to 4.6 stock. I have zero throttling issues with my kraken cooler. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on one.

6 core lil monster.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Get this cpu if you need to upgrade from a 4 core from 5-6 years ago and plan on upgrading in another 3 years. It pairs fine with a 6800xt and a 3080, however there are some slight stutters from time to time. The 5800x is a bit smoother because of the core count and should be considered when deciding on which to buy.

Amazing performance for a reasonable price!

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Performance, PriceThis CPU is amazing! Out of the box performance is absolutely incredible. For only $300, you get a top of the line cpu, a cooler for it, and a lovely case badge (really a fancy sticker). Ryzen Master overclocked this card automatically to 4.7 GHz running a scythe mugen cooler and max temps seen are 78C. Average load is 65C and idle is 35C. Cinebench R23 score was 11393 points.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Performance, PriceI just build a new PC with this beast... I can't say how happy I am. It runs so much faster than my previous one. Go for AMD CPUs! No regrat. Nevertheless, be ready to do BIOS updates. Make yourself a favor: get one of those MoBos with BIOS flash button.

Faster than Apple M1!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:For gamesUpgraded from Ryzen 3 1200. Compatible with ASRock B450M Pro4 after the latest BIOS update (4.60). The benchmark scores are higher than Apple M1 in single core, which is great for gaming and media applications. Stock cooler had ~85°C running at 4.15 GHz without overclocking. A 3rd-party cooler is highly recommended. I paired it with ID-Cooling SE-224-XT and now it has max temperature of 66°C (default) and 80°C (Auto OC).

Q: Questionhi i buy intel for my son or this?
Asked by joemama.
- A:Answer This chip makes much more sense than an Intel 10th gen. It has a higher IPC than Intel's 10th gen, up to 20% in productivity apps and about 5% higher average in gaming. A much better choice for future proofing than Intel's current offerings.

Q: QuestionWhen will this CPU be in stock? I have been searching for websites that have been in stock with this specific CPU, but only Best Buy has it consistently in stock
Asked by DoubleDstrktion.
- A:Answer Restocks are pretty random, BestBuy tends to throw up their items between 10AM and 2pm CST from my experience. I was able to purchase a couple RTX 3080's as well as this 5600x from Bestbuy without too much of a hassle.

Q: QuestionDoes this currently support the B450 M motherboard?
Asked by MalakEbayuser.
- A:Answer Mobo makers are suppose to offer a new BIOS starting in Jan. '21 so that the earlier 400 series mobos can run the Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. You should contact your mobo maker to confirm a BIOS is on the way.

Q: QuestionIs this CPU compatible with x570 motherboards right out of the box? Specifically the MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX board. I'm not familiar with the BIOS and doing what is needed to get the CPU to work.
Asked by DrippyBanjo.
- A:Answer Most 500 series motherboards have to have a bios update, but most of them have Q flash capability which make it easier (ive done this by just downloading the bios update from motherboard manufacturer and putting it on a thumb drive). Some motherboards even have a Q flash button on the board itself which is very convenient. To be safe though, check in your boards manual, there will almost certainly be instructions on how to update the bios.
