Great CPU for any type of task.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Primarily set up with my sff rig in the living room. No need to overclock, just undervolted it by .1V! Took off 5C-7C from idle temps, 10c on Load. Boosts to 4.2 easy when you keep it cool

Best cpu out for AMD.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Ryzen 5 2600 and the Ryzen 7 2700x both are excellent cpus and I purchased both at Best Buy. I also received money back because of their excellent price match program. I will always buy every part from Best Buy from here on out unless it’s a special part they don’t have.

Great production, gaming, and streaming CPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A fantastic line of products. The CPU is amazing and the fan. Let me tell you this fan is amazing, you can absolutely overclock in this fan, obviously not serious overclocking, but some minor overclocking can be done with ease. A fantastic product. Highly recommended.

Simplistic install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple enough to install, the rgb led is nice but it seemed to run a little hot with the OE fan cooler but with the corsair cooling system it only maxes at 43°c with no side vent.

Q: QuestionIs it like a i7 becuse I have a pc with a and mother bord and I want somthing like a i7 would the and 2700 be like that or equal to the i7 8700
Asked by Sully.
- A:Answer The Ryzen 5 2400G is more like the i7 8700, but presumably the motherboard you have is for the intel cpu chipsets and you would want to get a motherboard that is compatable with amd cpu chipsets like the MSI Pro Carbon X470 amd motherboard. But before you go out buying a board i would do some research and look up compatability, especially look at pros and cons such as intel cpu chipsets may have some features that amd chipsets dont, this is a pro con situation cause it goes both ways such as an amd cpu may have overclocking capabilities while intel may have higher clockspeeds pre-configured, but the newer amd chipsets have those clockspeed configurations unlocked so you can configure them to what you are comfortable with. The other thing to look at is pricing, amd cpu parts are very affordable, compared to intel, but intel cpu parts are very simplified, and are what lots of first time pc builders will go with, amd is for more of gamer enthusiast people. Weigh your options very carfully and Do Your Research First!

Q: QuestionIs it compatible with the ASRock A320M/ac?
Asked by Yael.
- A:Answer Technically yes, but if you use them together the motherboard's CPU VRM (CPU voltage regulator module, i.e. the CPU power delivery system) will overheat under heavy CPU load. You will lose a large amount of the potential performance of the CPU because the motherboard cannot deliver enough power to it, and the motherboard may be damaged if the VRM runs too hot over a long period of time. I would not use a Ryzen 7 2700X on any motherboard with no VRM heatsink. The ASRock A320M and B450M Pro4, MSI B450M Pro VDH, and Gigabyte B450M S2H and DS3H are the cheapest motherboards that I would consider using with a Ryzen 7 2700X. Their VRMs are much larger than the ones on the A320M/ac (with 12 MOSFETs each instead of just 8), use more advanced components, and have heatsinks to keep them cool.

Q: QuestionI have the HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop w/ AMD Ryzen5-2400G (Raven Ridge). Model# 690-0024. Is this compatible?
Asked by 4MyHubby.
- A:Answer I would not put a 2700x in that motherboard. OWM motherboards tend to be as basic as you can get.

Q: QuestionWill my B350M Bazooka motherboard be okay for this processor?
Asked by Joe.
- A:Answer Yes, it will work just fine. I would direct/advise a slight upgrade to the Tomahawk B450 because it has better VRM and VRM cooling. This will allow the processor to hit it's speeds better and more efficiently.

Q: QuestionIs this cpu worth getting over the i7 9700k?
Asked by Gamer25.
- A:Answer Yes as far as multi tasking etc. You may see a slight advantage for an intel chipset in gaming environments, although this CPU is amazing for that as well and difference would be miniscule.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with a heat sink?
Asked by Jordan.
- A:Answer Yes it does come with a heat sink. The wraith prism cooler is a all in one heat sink with air cooled properties. The factory cooling system is exceptional unless you want to overclock it then I recommend an aftermarket cooler.
