Customers highly value the ability of the High Power Wireless-N 600mW Pro Smart Repeater and Range Extender to extend their WiFi signal. However, some customers found the improvement in signal strength to be less than expected, with reports of the signal dropping or remaining weak at greater distances. The product's performance in strengthening the signal appears inconsistent based on user feedback. Further improvements in signal strength are desired by some users.

I have a small house but it is old with thick walls and the router is in the basement with the office on the first floor. We had unreliable connection with multiple devices throughout the house and this product was recommended to extend and strengthen the signal. It does as it promised however it does not strengthen the signal as much as I had hoped based on the recommendation. It may be that I am out of luck no matter what I choose based on the location of my router. The only other option would have been to relocate the router upstairs but that would have required cutting through walls, etc. It was fairly straightforward to install -- even for me -- an admitted IT idiot!

I was very excited when I first found this equipment. However, that didn't last long. This extender says it will pick up signals from any wife and extend the range of the signal it can pickup. I had it setup roughly 320 ft from the Router. At first it read an 81% of signal strength. The instructions say it works when the strength is better than 70%. Initially it did, for a few hours, then nothing. I tried extending the antenna pole higher and again it worked initially, then it dropped. When I called Tevh Support, I was told that to make it work I needed to purchase an AP for the Signal end. I told the Tech that I as reading a higher than needed signal strength, but all he was willing to talk about was adding the AP to make it work. I returned it today. The old saying about throwing good money after bad seems to fit this.
