A great spinoff to Animal....

I feel like an expert playing this game. In Animal Crossing Home Designer, You get to choose from variety of home decoration to help out a villagers needs. I had a great amount of joy playing this game. Overall, A plus on my collection!

Pleasantly Surprised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I wasn't sure if I would still be having fun designing rooms over and over again but I find myself putting a lot of thought in trying to design rooms for these cute little animals and so far the animals provide a pretty good variety of what each one wants, keeping the game interesting and sometimes challenging me in using a style I'm not familiar with. The game also has you designing the interior of different buildings like a school or a store and this helps change things up a bit. You use the touch screen primarily to do things like moving furniture around and navigating the menus and I personally prefer this because if you had to push the furniture around like in traditional Animal Crossing games then it would take much longer to design rooms and it would be way more frustrating, but you can still do that if you want, the game lets you use either method. I was also relieved to find out that the amiibo cards aren't required to play the game, they're only used if you want to design a house for a specific animal or if you want to invite them over to another animal's house you designed, otherwise the animals you design for show up randomly. Overall I'd say the game is a lot better than I thought it would be, the only minor complaints I have is that you don't get to walk around the village where the animals live, you just pick which animal to visit through a menu, and you have to turn in for the night and save after designing for each project, to me it seems weird that you can only do one project a day before having to save and wait for it to load the next day (in-game day, not real time).

Animal Crossing's IKEA?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game's fun but kinda redundant to be fair. I like the concept of designing homes for the characters but it does get pretty repetitive after a while. It's a neat venture into the world but it's just the filler til the new game drops in December!

A fun spinoff for fans of Animal Crossing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I had a lot of fun with Happy Home Designer personally, but I would say it's hard to recommend to someone who hasn't played any previous Animal Crossing games, with very little to compare the title to. If you like decorating your house in AC, you'll likely like this title too. The decorating mechanics and improved and refined, with tons of new furniture to play with as well. The Happy Home Network is also a really interesting feature, allowing you to share your creations with others around the world, and draw inspiration from their creations. Beyond that, however, there isn't much to do. Visiting your works is fun, seeing the animals interact with your creation is satisfying. This game ultimately is what you make of it, and it's certainly not for everyone, but I had a lot of fun.

Super cute!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A dressed-down Animal Crossing dedicated exclusively to decoration. You either love decorating or you don't. You can also see the creations of people all over the world; very good to get fresh ideas for your stuff. You can use the AC cards to summon villagers, but you can skip them. I bough a pack just to check it out, but not feeling any urge to collect them all. I think they're gonna release over a 100 cards; not really worth it IMHO. I don't think they are compatible with other games, expect the Wii U version of AC, which isn't even a proper AC game. Meh. At least this one is good. Maybe wait for a sale if feeling unsure.

Great spin-off for those that like designing homes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is not a regular entry in the Animal Crossing series, but is perfectly suited to those who want a game that focuses on designing houses and occasionally other buildings. The home design aspects go far beyond what you can do in the regular Animal Crossing games. As someone who really likes designing houses in the regular games, I love this spin-off!

Pretty awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Animal crossing is one of my favorite Nintendo series. Although you miss out on the general town building aspect of the normal animal crossing game, you get a lot more customization with the design of other people's home. I'd love if they combined this customization and the actual animal crossing game.

Fun for a little while
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was really fun to me the first couple of weeks that I had it. It's like Animal Crossing. I like using the furniture and wallpaper, and the flooring. But, you keep doing the same things over and over again. So, it can be boring too.
