Q: I cannot get the HDMI port to work on this device. Anyone got any recommendations to get it to work?
A: Found the answer, my laptop does not support display output through the USB-c port. So this hub will not pass a signal through the hdmi port. Not Anker's fault, just my crap laptop.

A: I bought this for use with a 2017 12 inch MacBook which has been perfect because that model only has one USB see input if a MacBook Air has the same set up where it only has one USB see then it should work fine from my understanding
