If you're a fan of instrumental music, then Another Language is definitely an album you need to add to your record library. Fans of This Will Destroy You are already familiar with this bands distinctive sound and performance, so I'll skip the profound and pretentious technicalities of sound, instrumentality, and engagement. However, I can assertively state that this album departs a little from their so-called "doomgaze" style and focuses more on the formulaic execution of song development - almost following a strict structure throughout the whole album. That said, I do believe this is a decent record you would expect from such band. Their songs have a harmonious contrast between ethereal ambience and powerful percussions. Aesthetically, Another Language presents itself wrapped in minimalist symbolism from the very moment you unwrap the case. Another Language is an invitation to an auditory journey between layers of existential depression (ennui) and aggressive realism. Should you prefer numeric values to attribute to such record, I'd rate this record a 3.5 out of 5.
