"Found footage" that shouldn't have been
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s 1974 and the world has lost interest in lunar exploration. The government, however, still has plans for the moon. So they send Captain Ben Anderson (Warren Christie), Commander Nate Walker (Lloyd Owen), and Lieutenant Colonel John Grey (Ryan Robbins) to bring those plans to fruition. However, their attempts to do so are impeded by one terrifying unforeseen complication. They are not alone. The found-footage style film is not entirely flawed. There are those who liked The Blair Witch Project and saw it as genius. I wasn’t one of them and I haven’t met anyone who is, but I’m almost positive they exist. And if you’re someone who saw The Blair Witch Project and thought the only way to make it better would be to add aliens, have it take place 20 years earlier and on the moon, no doubt you’ll love this movie. I, on the other hand, saw it as flawed and boring from start to finish and will not be watching again on cable, home video or any other medium barring some sort of coercion. Say a gun to my head.

Blair Whitch 101
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! What a total disappointment. Like the previous review, Blair Witch came to mind. Total waste of my money on this movie. I actually bought th Blue Ray version and I might as well have bought a movie that was shot from someone's 8mm handheld. Blurry, grainy, regular format...etc. etc. Poor plot and poor script. I mean come on..What phrase are they using in the 70's? ."Roger That"? You gotta be kidding! Get your decade right Mr. director. "Rodger That" was never used back then. I can't believe they want us believe that any of the footage is even close to real.

Stinker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really looking forward to this movie. Missed it in the theater, I sure wish I hadn't. It would have saved me money to find out it stunk, before dropping dime for a Blu Ray. Across the board it stunk. Even the "aliens" stunk. Save yourself money and an hour and a half of your life you can't get back...pass on this.

AWESOME Movie!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this movie! I'm a space nerd. This movie feels real, everything down to the quindar tones, the terminology, and the gravity is very accurate. Some people complain that it is to "Blair Witch Project"-ish, which may be true, nonetheless it is still entertaining.
