Q: What does it mean "Unlocked"?
A: This refers to a cellular model that is set up such that the consumer can select carrier post-purchase. Because unlocked devices are paid in full at the time of purchase, a carrier cannot “lock” the iPad into their plan (until paid off) as they often do with installment agreements.
A: I would grab a new SIM, especially since there's new technologies in the new SIM cards that might supersede the one you already have and you would have better performance.
Q: Can this iPad be used internationally
A: Wifi will work no matter where you are in the world. As for cellular connection, that depends on which wireless companies are operating where you are traveling to. Depending on your current carrier, you might either be able to use the same sim card or have to transplant one from a carrier that operates where you will use it at...
A: Not much difference. My 5th generation iPad was wearing out, had less memory & storage capacity. The battery was diminishing and the button function was giving me trouble. 10th generation iPad did away with the button at the bottom and uses a less troublesome top side button for functionality. It works better. Overall, I find them both very similar.
