Apple 11-Inch iPad Pro (Latest Model) with Wi-Fi + Cellular - 1TB (Unlocked)
I mostly bought this iPad because I wanted the 1TB capacity so that I can download more of my CDs. However, it can do so much more than my previous iPad Air and it is very fast in all aspects. I like the 11” size but would have preferred it to be a little lighter.
I purchased this on back order in May, curbside at Best Buy during Quarantine and it showed up well before the expected delivery date which was awesome. I bought it with Wi-Fi and cellular option and 1TB. It was super easy to have hooked up to my plan. It was a gift for my hubby. He loves it and uses it for all his business/personal needs. Exactly what he needed!
The best iPad you can get. Cameras and microphones are improved, battery life is excellent. Using a trackpad with the iPad is fun. Also, it’s the first iPad with lidar … though you don’t really need this.
My mullti-year-old iPad died. I was able to quickly replace it with this one, the "latest generation" (2020). An excellent device, beautiful screen, great colors. I'm still getting used to the absence of the "home" button, but the pencil is a great addition. I am very happy with this device.

A:AnswerSome cellular services are tied to a specific vendor, e.g., T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, etc. You are stuck with that service, good or bad, for the life of your product. With "unlocked", which I think is the **ONLY** way to go, you get all the value of the phone or tablet, and should you decide to switch to a different supplier, you take your phone or tablet with you to the new service. Sure, the locked phones cost less. But you are stuck with them, and if you decide to switch services, you will find that they make very good paperweights, but have little other value. I consider "locked" phones a monopolistic method of mistreating the customer. If your service is good, you don't *have* to worry about the customer switching.
A:AnswerYes, It has new features, like lidar, which as a geek I find fascinating to use. But it has an improved user experience, facial recognition for login, and Apple Pencil. I can't speak to the features of the previous model, but when I compared them it was clear that the iPad Pro 2020 was the device I wanted.
