My mom has the 12.9” model, and it is amazing. Couldn’t decide on the size. I have a lot of Apple products but I haven’t had an iPad since the original one. This is mainly for me to enjoy movies, Kindle. However, I can also use it to stay connected with my business when I’m away from the office. It has Evernote, Slack, Zoom, QuickBooks, Outlook, Excel, Word, and it can scan documents easily, and allow me to access and edit PDF files. From the car, to the hotel, to the couch. Just using this for 24 hours, I’m very glad I got the 11” size. The additional size and weight of the 12.9” greatly affects the portability aspect. If you don’t need PC dependent software, I can see someone using the 12.9” as a laptop replacement. My work requires a PC as my primary workstation. So this is my auxiliary device when I’m not on the regular laptop. Other notes. Loved how easy it was to restore from my latest iPhone backup. Used a “paper-like” screen protector even though I’m not sure if I’m going to use a pencil regularly. Love the feel of it on my finger though. Feels like my old kindle screen. Speakers sound excellent. WiFi is very fast. Very thin and light. Can easily hold with one hand. Used vertically , it wasn’t a stretch for me to type woth two hands like I do on my phone.

This was an upgrade from my iPad Air from maybe 2013, which, while functional, was slow, couldn't run the latest OS, and had diminished battery life. The iPad Pro 2020 is blazing fast, has an amazingly sharp display, an incredibly sharp camera, and some cool gadgets and apps built in. A little on the pricey side, but all-in-all, it is a great piece of equipment and a marvel of engineering. My only warning is that all the free stuff that you get on a trial basis seems to all autorenew if you don't remember to cancel it, so make sure to keep an eye on that if you don't want the extra iCloud space, the TrendMico Security package, the Apple Music trial, etc. The one year of AppleTV+ was a nice touch, but again, keep an eye on cancellation if you don't want to pay for the service at the end of the trial.
