Apple® - iPad® 2 with Wi-Fi - 16GB - White

I've wanted an iPad since they first came out. Yet, I waited on the second generation - even though I had never used an iPad or even an iPhone for that matter. I've had a MacBook Pro for 18 months and loved it. I got the Verizon iPhone right when they started selling them (even breaking a contract and having to pay $500 to get out of the contract). And I purchased my iPad 2 the day Best Buy started selling them, waiting in line like the rest of the peeps. My fb page profile pic is of me holding up my new iPad 2 just prior to the beginning of a wedding. Everyone loves the photo of me with a big smile, my clergy attire and my iPad 2! I want to say the camera horrible, and it is to some degree, but the camera is not why I purchased the iPad. Even though I have found tons of uses for the camera. I do lots of weddings, as a wedding officiant, each year. Last year was over 400 of them here in Savannah (I even married Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams). And the reason I purchased the iPad 2 was to eliminate paper use (lost pages, out of order pages, wind blowing pages into the ocean while on the beach, etc.) and I got it for my sermons. I've taken great photos with the camera on the iPad 2 (before and after weddings - the one attached is after a ceremony on HHI the other is from my church - nearly finished restoring windows!), yet when you go to zoom in on the subject or zoom in on the image, it's sooooo grainy. It is just horrible! However, it is better than nothing (you know, the first generation of the iPad.) But the more I thought about the zooming in thing, the more I realized that one of the reasons it is grainy is because the screen is SO LARGE. The iPhone screen is small, so you never get to see the grainy images when you zoom in. Are those two worth giving the iPad 2 a 4 out of 5 on the feature question above? Yes, because it is an easy fix!! Two features for the iPad 3 would be: being able to have a smaller image on the screen while you taking photos, like the size of the iPhone; the other would be the ability to make higher pixel images.

You will never use your computer again... Everything works perfect ..... No disappointments here.....Just buy it,you'll be so happy. We bought 2 ,,16G,,,one wifi and mine is hooked to Verizon, I love it the only way to go,,,,,good luck.

When people talk about the tablet market becoming such a big field, I think they should refer to the iPad market. After selling my computer to get one of these, I can't say enough how amazing this device is. However, as products go, there are some awesome features and some no so awesome features. One feature that could use improving is the camera. The quality isn't amazing, especially the front facing camera. However, for your benefit, I unboxed the product and you can watch it in the attached video!

As an elementary teacher, I encourage parents to expose their children to the different technology tools out there. As a mom, I was initially reluctant to buy my daughter an iPad because I was afraid it would be too distracting. But with parental guidance and control, she is learning, exploring, and becoming computer-literate. An iPad is a great way to begin these skills.

Bought an iPad2 a few months ago, with high expectations. Unfortunately, they have not all been met. Certainly many reasons for its success, and hats off to apple for a great piece of technology. But, its got a long list of shortcomings that, in my personal opinion, are unacceptable for such advanced, expensive equipment. Pros- Phenomenal design. Truly a good looking, sexy product. Slim, light, powerful. Really great screen, fantastic camera. excellent app variety. Cons- No removable memory, un- upgradable (more ram/storage/battery V difficult). No flash? How hard is that to include?? Restrictive customization. Forced to use all apple (eg. itunes) products. Dang expensive. Summary- For this kind of money, there really should be less shortcomings. My $350 laptop can do way more. Its not as portable, but I guess that leads me to my conclusion: The iPad is a product that seems to appeal to folks who value appearance over functionality. Sorry fanboys, but this is a yuppy toy for people not really tech savvy. Good to browse the web, read a book, play a game or watch a video. Its not good enough to compete with a real computer just yet. Maybe in a few years, I'll try again.

Great piece of technology. My one and a half year old granddaughter loves it also. Even she is adept at navigating it. Love them both!

The Apple iPad is awesome. I compared it to every tablet in our area and none of them had all the features I liked accept this one. We bought this iPad for my 86 year old father-in-law who dearly loves it. He reads 2 newspapers with it, checks his stock everyday, orders medication and reads magazines. We now have 4 in our family.

I love my I pad! I read books on it do my banking, e-mail. I also use it for my quilting. I recommend it to everyone!
