The new iPad air is very fast, high performance, very light. To top it all off the camera is better then all other tablets. Another great thing is you can get up to 128gb that's enough storage to have a whole series of tv shows and movies.

The iPad functions properly but I have had 3 invisishields installed . Either the iPad or the invisishield are defective as I have several black shadows on the screen. Still trying to determine the origin of the visual imparment, defective iPad and screen or invisishield installation?

I can't believe I waited this ling to purchase a tablet of any kind. But, I'm glad I waited for the iPad air because it's pretty incredible. It's ridiculously easy to set up and use. The apps are beautiful and fun. The display is amazing. And, it's very light and fast. Highly suggest buying one. Like I said, the only negative is the price, but you do get what you pay for.

Apple announced the iPad Air, it was lighter, faster and better than the prior edition. Although I was moving up from an iPad Mini, the screen gamut was the main reason why I made the jump. The screen is brilliant. I mean, 100% brilliant in all ways - turn down the brightness (if not on auto) if you're going to read anything at night.
But the problem with it is that the entry price for the 64GB is sorta high. And worse, you'll need that extra space if you're a moderate to heavy user. I'm a graphic designer/programmer by trade, so the typical apps like Procreate, Penultimate, Evernote, Autodesk SketchBook Pro all look and work great. But once you start saving locally (to the iPad) those files, they start filling it up quickly. Luckily you can sync to your desktop, pull those files down and then back it up or store in the cloud.
Otherwise, the screen (brighter, better color clarity than the iPad Mini by far) is worth it. And the weight is just great. Around 1lb for a tablet that used to way 1.5lbs+ can alter where and how you use it.

After many years with HP towers and Toshiba laptops, we decided to give the I Pad air a try. I still have our HP tower and 23" monitor and love it. My wife had a Toshiba laptop with a 500 GB hard drive. The battery would not last and it was a pain to always have it plugged in to use it. With other programs that she would never use and the large hard drive, we thought it was overkill for my wife. We looked for weeks and watched videos and read reviews on tablets (including the new Samsung tablets) and decided on the Air. WELL... You think that most reviews that praise Apple products are done by fanatics, I used to call them "Apple Heads". I am hear to tell you that getting my wife the I Pad Air on her Birthday was the best thing that ever happened. She LOVES it. The learning curve switching from one operating system to another after so many years was not a problem. The only issue if any, is not having a back space button when browsing and having to tap elsewhere on the screen. A very minor issue which she and I will get used to. Typing on this pad is a breeze and fast. Battery life is fantastic and the portability makes even our old laptop seem like it was a boat anchor. By far, this was the best move ever and we wondered what took us so long. We haven't upgraded from IOS 7.0 to 7.1 yet. I read that there were a few bug with apps like Facebook. I suggest not updating till the issues are resolved. Apple may be slow at fixing some items and responding to questions.... But Microsoft and HP aren't perfect either. It really is a horse a piece. We were going to get the 16GB model but read that with all of the apps that are available, that we would go with 32GB. My wife threw me a curveball and opted for the 64GB. BOTTOM LINE? I can't get it away from her and if I do, it's not for long. Absolutely love Apple and this I Pad Air. Makes me reconsider about maybe going to a MAC desktop. There is so much you can do on the Air. I believe that some other tablets may be better in some respects, but a lot of those push their ability to have it where you can display multiple screens at once and do 2 - 15 different things at once. That's a a little too much clutter on the screen for us. The simplicity and elegance of Apple products are pleasing to the eye and a dream to use. I did not drink the Kool-Aid like many profess Apple users do. But... I might be turning into an "Apple Head".
LOVE THE I PAD AIR !!!!!

If you're an iOS fan you'll certainly love this new generation of iPad. The battery life continues to get better and it's the sleekest design to date. Now with iOS 7 and the 64 bit A7 processor this tablet flies and will accomplish things you never expected from a tablet. If you're an android user this may be the time to take a look at Apple again. When I compared to the Note and other high-end tablets and the iPad Air really shines. From the screen colors to the responsiveness and fluid operation, you'll really be impressed. Yes, it's a bit pricey but I've always found that you get what you pay for when it comes to the tech world.
My only gripe is that it feels a little less sturdy than previous generations but that could simply be because they've gotten this thing so thin and light that there's no place left to go.

I really can't give a good quality review because this is my first iPad I've ever owned or even played with. My main reason for getting this over the Tab Pro is because everything I do is Apple related...AppleTV's (3), iTunes, iTunes Match and my wife and I both have iPhones, so getting this was a no brained for me. So I'm familiar with how to use Apple products. Screen quality is great. It's fast (performance) and saves time when I do not want to pull my laptop out to answer emails. I haven't had any issues surfing the internet. My only comment would be to make sure you know what size drive you need. The reason I say that is because I bought the 64 gig and ended up returning it because I needed the 128 gig.
