Terrific new iPad Air
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This an upgrade to an iPad 2 I have been using for over 2 years. The new iPad Air is quite a bit smaller in every dimension except screen size which is still the same! The edges are a little squarer (vs the rounded, tapered edges previously) making it easier to hold. The screen resolution is phenomenal. I dropped the slider down to good only because it seems some of the colors are a hair over-saturated, and there's no real way to adjust. With that said, the screen is beautiful. Everything happens a bit faster to the naked eye with the new processors. Nice upgrade, there. Apple now includes several of its productivity Apps with new iOS 7 devices, and this helps to sweeten the value a little. Numbers, Pages, Keynote, iMovie, GarageBand, and iPhoto are the main extra apps included. Still, premiums for stepping up to more internal memory seems excessive, but nothing outside of the pricing models Apple first introduced with the original iPad. Overall, it's still an iPad, but the extra speed, smaller frame, and super sharp screen make this a terrific tablet I keep around with me most of the day!

Best. iPad. Ever.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although not a game changer like the original iPad, which created a whole new product category, the iPad Air is simply the best iPad I have ever had. And I own or have had iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3, the original iPad mini, and an iPad mini with retina screen. The Air is light and thin enough that except for those times when I literally want to put an iPad in my coat pocket, I would rather have the larger screen and full color gamut of the Air than then reduced screen and more limited color gamut of the iPad mini with retina screen. Moreover, it is so much faster, lighter, and thinner than prior full-size iPads. Lastly, the bezel is thinner on the sides as well. All of which makes for about as much of a home run as possible short of the original's creating the tablet product market. Apple simply knocked it out of the park with this one. On a related note, new leather smart cases are also a hit. Good quality leather and fit like a glove that doesn't add much bulk to the form factor, a marked improvement on both counts from prior Apple cases. So much so that I haven't even thought about third party cases this time. In sum, Apple, there is in substitute (at least for tablets).

Smaller, Quick...very nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace my 4th Gen iPad because it died. Two years old and it just died. This is not typical of iPads and I tried not to hold this failure against them all. I found it difficult to not have an iPad, so I purchased an iPad Air (didn't have the money for an Air 2 because I had just bought one for my husband for Christmas). I am very happy with my iPad Air. It is quick, works well and is smaller than my 4th Gen. I was disappointed that the Air didn't fit my old Kensington Keyboard Cover, but was able to find one on Amazon for a reasonable price. I also bought Apple Care. It added quite a bit to the price, but my experience with the 4th Gen convinced me it is worth the price.

Love, love, love our new iPad!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The iPad Air is a beautiful device oozing with billiant capabilities and innovative new dimensions in terms of apps, access to information, interface with people we care about, or just fun and amusing stuff. Hopefully it will function as effectively, efficiently and as quickly for many years to come as it now does. However I fear within only a few years that later versions will leave our model in the dust just when we have it running at maximum utility, to then force us to upgrade sooner than we will want to-- and because by then we will have become addicts to our device. (I guess that's the price of living during this explosion era of High Tech innovation & development. History books someday will attest...)

Fantastic tool!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ipad Air is a fantastic tool to perform most of the functions of a laptop, in an easy to carry handheld device. Great graphics, endless selection of applications from games to photographic to business to entertainment. Can set up easily to use anywhere as small TV with my home cable info, can be used to operate home systems from one place. Easy to use, performs multiple functions at once, you can multi-task to your heart's content. I use the camera rarely, but the two cameras are great if you need them. Screen size allows easy photo editing that presents problems in a phone screen. Can be easily synched to include all your phone apps, your contacts, emails, bookmarks, photos and music lists.

Expensive but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like other Apple products I have, this is ready to go, easy to learn and navigate. Retina Display is amazing. Easily synchs with my iPhone and laptop. One thing I needed was a way to download, transfer and store photographs when I'm on the road. This is the best. I do serious photo editing on the laptop but this is great for everything up to the heavy lifting. I know Apple products are more expensive, and sometimes the accessories from third parties are pretty limited and you have to get the pricier Apple gadget but I've had very few problems and those that I did, they resolved promptly.

Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.iPads are great for certain reasons. If you want something to use for word or PowerPoint or excel of stay clear of this. If you just like to browse the Internet or fb and are more of an Internet heavy user this is it. If you want it more for business, unless you spend more on apps and such, maybe not for you.

Great Tablet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big improvement over my first generation iPad. Picture quality is amazing. Very impressed with the 4G LTE feature, very FAST!!!! Have had no problems streaming movies on Netflix or Amazon instant video. Internet is also very fast. Even though it's light, it still feels sturdy in my hand. If you have the money I would most definently buy this tablet, it's worth every penny. Only bad thing is that my wife wants one now.
