I needed to replace an i5 that was locking up for 1-2 minutes every few minutes, got very annoying. I wanted to stay with familiar apps and find my iPhone capability, but most importantly required a headphone jack to plug the phone into stereos, speakers, and my noise cancelling Bose ear phones. No compromise on the headphone jack for me. Nor the inability to power the phone and use the headphone in the car at the same time when the trip last longer than the battery, like the newer iPhones. So a 6 is as new as you can get. I have big hands, so I can hold this phone and scroll less with the plus version. It’s too big for my wife, she prefers the smaller phone or uses her iPad when she wants a bigger screen. Best Buy had a new left over 6 plus for $500 with 128 memory. I had to take it to a Verizon store to get it to transfer from my dying iPhone 5. The thumb unlock rarely works, and some of the settings are annoyingly different, like windows does with new versions. It’s like each crop of new engineers has to prove that they can change everything to work “better”, resulting in the difficulty of finding where they moved different settings to this time. Bottom line, if a headphone jack and an iPhone are important to you, get your preferred size 6 while you can.

Finally, I have left behind the Android wilderness for the sleek beauty and smooth operation of an iPhone. I have been contemplating this move for a long time through the frustrations I had with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Android smart phones that I owned before it. The iPhone 6S+ is such a vast improvement. Since I already own an iPad (my second one), getting used to the iPhone has not been a great challenge. I love the screen size, the 128GB memory and the elegant way in which to organize the various apps that make up the iPhone interface. Apple brilliance!

I use to have an iPhone 4s, then decided to try a Motorola Droid Turbo. I am so happy I went back to iPhone. It's so convenient and easy to use. The large screen is great. Got this instead of the 8 because I wanted to use headphones and charge my phone at the same time
