Best handheld I've ever had or seen!Posted .
If you're at a friend's house and they let you hold the new iPod Touch, you will immediately say, "I have to have this!". It is so thin, that you wonder how all of the features and quality can even fit in the device. The display is amazing. No matter how close you look (I've even put my eye about an inch away from the display), you CANNOT see any pixels. All you see are extremely high-resolution images. This display competes with my 27" iMac display, that's how good it is. The camera is great for casual users, but I would definitely not call it professional-grade. It has no flash, and many pictures come out a little grainy if not in the correct lighting. But, it's great if you're somewhere and need a camera, or if you want to take a picture of an item you're selling on eBay. The Safari web browser is great, but sometimes you will be a little annoyed at how small everything is, so you'll need to zoom in on a lot of web pages (in this case, however, I'm putting the portability of the item above this little annoyance). This item is excellent if you want to check emails from another room without wanting to go on the computer. The YouTube app is basically like YouTube itself minus the website. All of the YouTube videos are available, but it's in a different format. You still get to post comments, etc. One feature I love is that you can set any wallpaper you want, so if you find the right one it can look stunning. I downloaded a few free game trials, and they were funny, but I wouldn't say they had any depth. I'm sure the ones that you actually have to pay for are better. 8GB is plenty of storage if you use this as a companion to your computer, or if you don't have that much content. For people who store a lot more on their portable device, more GBs may be required. 5/5 Just to let you know: this product does not come with a standard dock to charge the iPod from a regular power outlet. You have to charge it from your computer when you buy it.I would recommend this to a friend

Worth every single penniePosted .
I have owned this iPod for about 3 months now , and I can't possibly be more impressed or happy about this product . For one , the screen is outstanding , can't possibly get any better . It's very strong and doesn't scratch easily . The back is aluminum ( as usual ) and scratches very easily so for this iPod a case is always necessary . My brother has the older generation touch , and it just proves how well apple has done with this generation compared to the last . Battery life is great , coming from a person who has this product in my hand around 85% of the day . I'm actually writing this review on this iPod. Never freezes or lags . This iPod is extremely thin , however despite the first few days you will begin to notice it's amazingly strong , but still with a delicate solid feeling to it . Honestly have absolutely no complaints for this device whatsoever . Completely worth the price . Although expensive cases and accessories is were they get you . But not me , got a plain gray soft case for 36 cents on amazon . No problems whatsoever with it . I'm very skeptical with my electronics , especially with apple. But couldn't be happier with absolutely no doubts. If you have the money . DON'T BOTHER WAITING AND GET IT!I would recommend this to a friend

Finally an Ipod TouchPosted .
Let me start by saying this is what the Ipod Touch should have been years ago, And I'm glad I stuck with my first Gen until now. Secondly Unlike the previous Reviews, I actually purchased mine on the 10th of Sept. Now on to what I like about this IPod over the 1st Gen -Improved Display: Yes it actually does look and "feel" different. In my Opinion it has taken everything I already have and made it look that much better -HD Back Facing Camera: Unfortunately it's only the back camera that can record in HD. It's decent Quality to me, I've seen better, but for a portable music playing entertainment device it is superb. I predict many more tube videos popping up using the Ipod Touch camera. -Thinner: Yes steve thought the IPOD was too fat and put it on a diet. the result? "Where's my Ipod? oh wait it's in my back pocket. no it's in my front. ah there it is. wonder how it got there." -Same Scratchproof glass: My 1st gen back cover was so nasty with scratches but my display stayed crisp and scratch free without a screen protector. -bluttooth: Really? How cool is this? bluetooth headphones finally! -8gig capacity: I'm glad they kept the 8gig capacity, it's always been more than enough for me and I really didn't wan to fork out more. Other than that it's still the same great IPOD it was when it first cam out and I'm sure there will be more in the future but if this is your first or like me upgrading from your first gen. It's well worth it.I would recommend this to a friend

Want to have your favorite songs with you at all times? Want to be able to play your favorite games on the go? Want to be able to check your email and your social networking sites while listening to your favorite songs? Then you want to get the Ipod Touch. It has thousands of different apps, you can put all your favorite songs on it, and you can even connect to wifi with it and go on the internet. The Ipod Touch is light and looks slick with its chrome shell and touch screen. You can get which ever one that suits you the best, for example you can get the 8gb, 16gb, 32gb, or the 64gb. With either of these you can get all kinds of different apps for all different kinds of things. You can get apps that help you tune or play instruments, apps that are just for entertaining games, apps that help you with school subjects such as math or spanish, or you can just get silly apps that are just fun to mess with. With the Ipod Touch you won't have any trouble figuring out how to work it. It comes with basic directions and it will only take you a couple of days to really get used to the way it is operated. You can also customize certain things about it and rearrange your apps to your liking. Since it has a touch screen there aren't many buttons except for the home button which just takes you back the the main screen in case you ever mess up and touch something you didn't mean to. Other than that it's basically just touch the screen and sliding your finger to the direction you want the screen to go. People would love this product for many reasons. People who love to multitask without it freezing up would get along with this product very well. If you like to listen to your music when exercising, just taking a walk, or just wanting to listen to music without disturbing others you would like this product. Lastly, if you like to be able play entertaining games while waiting or just on the go then you will really like to have this Ipod. This product doesn't cost that much from how much you get out of it. It will cost around $200-$400 depending on how much memory you want on your Ipod. If you want 8gb then it will be around $200 for that Ipod. If you want 16gb+ it will be $300-$400. But really this is a reasonable price for how much you use this product. Most people who get an Ipod use it just about everyday for at least a couple of hours. They last years of use and all you have to do is charge the battery. There are only a few down falls about this product. First is the screen gets dirty easily, so if you don't like cleaning the screen weekly you won't want to buy this product. Secondly, sometimes the screen is too sensitive to how you touch it and it can freeze for a couple of seconds if you click something to many times. Lastly, this Ipod isn't available in the 120gb version so if you want an Ipod only for the music you won't want to buy the Ipod Touch. So to conclude, the Ipod Touch is a great product with only a few minor fall backs that are mostly personal opinionated fall backs. Basically, if you like multitasking with listening to your music, playing a game, and being on the internet you will love this product and will have it with you at all times.I would recommend this to a friend

My first Apple product and I like itPosted .
I was interested in getting the latest generation of iPod and my decision to use Best Buy was an easy one since there is a local store for the online purchase pick-up and BB accepts online payments from PayPal. The store pick-up process was quick and painless too. I don't use the device for music but rather for the range of free app's available like Skype, 5-0 Radio, iAPRS, eBay, Craigslist, mail, iBooks, Facebook, Weather and many others I've downloaded from the App Store. Another often used feature is the Safari browser with which I can, for instance, connect to a NOAA camera (Pinecam) on a 10,000 ft. mesa east of us and see weather rolling into our valley. The front & back cameras on the iPod work very well too and the built-in speaker produces acceptable audio for such a tiny little thing. The only application I have been unable to get to function is Wunder Map which I believe is related to Weather Underground weather. I like this iPod thing! And Best Buy made it easy to get.I would recommend this to a friend

Works well with medical appsPosted .
I use this for the medication database, Epocrates, and a couple of other medical apps that I use in my work. Works just fine. Battery life lasts more than a week, using the apps many times every day. While I recharge every weekend, the battery life indicator suggests I've used about 1/4 to 1/3 of the charge in a week. The iPod is also small and light, which I like. I've dropped it several times on tile floors (the iPod is in a leather case) and it works just fine. I'm probably the only person on the planet that doesn't use an iPod for music. I'm switching over to Apple from PC, as I'm looking for electronics with better quality build and integration. I like the iCloud, iOS5, and am pleased that I can sync the iPod over wireless at work or home.I would recommend this to a friend

Bought with trepidation, but love it nowPosted .
I've owned more than a few mp3/4 players over the last 5 years just about every decent brand (Zune, Phillips, Sandisk,) and have had one or two problems with each. I liked the Zune but it was more for the capacity (32 gb) i found it rather limiting as the original versions didn't have a web browser and the Zune store was bad. So, I finally broke down and bought an Ipod Touch. I went into the purchase with a few reservations as i didn't like the itunes sofware that much, i found it rather limiting and a pain. However, I use this ipod more than i've ever used any of my other mp3 players. its great for checking my email, chatting, updating facebook and also a running program app i've downloaded. All this in addition to great sounding audio from my mp3 files. Itunes is great, just takes some getting used to, but all in all i don't know how i lived without this thing.I would recommend this to a friend

Amazing device, everyone should have one!Posted .
I've had my 8GB iPod Touch for about 6 months, and I am absolutely in love with it! First off, it looks absolutely fantastic. You will notice this the second you take it out of the box. Secondly, it has lots of great features which make even the simplest of tasks more interesting and easy. Even scrolling through your music library is amazing, thanks to things like cover flow. It it extremely easy to set up email and iMessage, so staying in touch with family and friends is very easy. Facebook and Twitter apps are just two quick, simple downloads away, making communication easier than ever. The web browser is great, and allows you to do what you need to do quickly and efficiently. Even the camera is surprisingly good for such a small device, provided you are in good lighting, such as outdoors or a well-lit room. But the one thing I love the most is the screen. Seriously, this is a fantastic screen! It really does make photos and videos look outstanding. There are really only two major complaints I have about this thing: It's about as durable as a partially-melted stick of butter, and there is still no Flash support in Safari. As long as you're careful and don't drop it from more than about 3 inches, you should be fine. As for the Flash support, well... that's just too bad. Overall, I am very satisfied with this iPod, and I do not regret this purchase at all. I highly recommend picking one up.I would recommend this to a friend
