This is a good cover for the iPad. I had one of these covers on my iPad Air2 and it’s still in good condition after three years. The cover is easy to attach and folds so I can watch videos without holding it with my hands. Definitely protects the screen as I’ve dropped the iPad at least twice and no damage to the screen. It did drop on a carpet so I didn’t expect any damage.

I like my smart cover. It's light and not bulky and holds the positions quite nicely.

It's basically the smart cover, just in leather. So if that is worth the premium to you, I'd say go for it. I bought an open box and it works well. Light, and well designed. The only quibble is that the section connecting the magnetic hinge to the cover is a little long, so the cover skews a lot more than previous smart covers I've had when folded back.
