The large screen is absolutely beautiful. Best Keyboard and touch pad in the business. Fastest SSD out, very powerful Quad Core Processor (next model will be Skylake 6th gen) but this is still a beast. Speakers are incredible (better with app called: Boom 2). Nice design and still the defect of all laptops in design. 16 stage keyboard back lighting. Brightness will blind you it's so bright. Battery life is around 9 hours and will never give you anxiety. With Parallels and/or Bootcamp you can also run Windows 10 perfectly so you get the best of both worlds. You can send/receive calls and messages when you pair with your iPhone. Mail app syncs with any mail server including Exchange. Office 2016 is compatible with all Windows versions now. Only laptop out for Windows that is as good is the Dell XPS 15 9550. Only thing you have to decide on is if to buy this one or the new Skylake version that will be released in May. 5 out of 5 stars. I hope this helped you. If it did don't forget to hit that thumps up (helpful) button.

100% Satisfied with MacBook Pro 15

After years spent using my Sony Vaio I needed a new computer. As Sony no longer makes the Vaio I had to choose a different computer. I decided to make a total change and went with Apple's MacBook Pro 15. Even though the price is high, it is worth every penny. 1. This computer is FAST! I barely finish typing a website or starting a new program and the page/program has already fully loaded. 2. Even better than that is the crystal clear, beautiful retina screen. It doesn't even matter if you are sitting at al angle, the screen is perfect. 3. The touch pad is so much better than the ones found on PCs that I've used. There is no need to go the bottom left or right of the touch pad because you can touch anywhere on it to complete your action. I don't know why I waited so long to switch to a Mac but I wish I'd done so sooner. The BestBuy sales rep was as friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as the staff at the nearest Apple store are so that was a plus as well.

Have been a PC user for life until buying the MacBook Pro. I went with the 256GB out of fear more than need. With really inexpensive flash drives, that shouldn't have been a worry, but opted for the extra hd space. Pros The speed is outstanding especially on startup. Everything is fully operational in less than 10 seconds from a cold start. I love the silence. Gone are the rattles and knocks that came with my last dell laptop. At times it sounded like a refrigerator compressor. The picture is amazing. Absolutely crystal clear. The touch pad is phenomenal coming from someone that always uses a mouse. Easy to use and really makes me second guess buying the apple mouse. The link between iPhone, iPad, and Mac is amazing and seemless. Cons Safari isn't that great. Switch to google chrome.

Love the Apple - MacBook® Pro - 15.4" Display - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 256GB Flash Storage - Silver w/"force touch", updated IRIS Graphics and upgraded SSD. This replaces an identical model MacBook Pro (minus Force Touch and older SSD) which was stolen in March 2015. I started on Apple BASIC on a Apple //e w/128K RAM that I bought way back in 1985. I still own my Apple //e, it still works perfectly (Y2K was a farce). Switched to Windows in the early 1990's due to my University Indra-Net not being Apple friendly. Then over the years all business applications at my various jobs required use of Windows. To be honest, since Windows ME and my introduction to the "blue screen of death". I haven't cared for Windows much, yet had no alternative. Enter OSX Yosemite, WOW! It freaking completely destroys my beloved Windows 7 PRO 64-bit (best Windows version made). It took me about 2 weeks to fully get my mind "flipped" to the left for things like "minimize/close windows" and to learn the gestures on the trackpad and the one or two click system, but now it's hard to go back and use Windows...lol OSX is a infinitely more stable OS, which does not degrade in performance over time like Windows does. Much cleaner programming than Windows. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE WHO CLAIMS THAT MAC'S DO NOT GET VIRUSES OR MALWARE --- THAT IS A LIE !!! Best AV I have found is AVAST FREE (uses very little resources)! The ABSOLUTE WORST is WebRoot, DO NOT INSTALL IT, it is GARBAGE!

This laptop is amazing and would have easily given it 5stars if it wasn't for not having a CD drive yes I know they are becoming obsolete and necessary to make them thinner but when I spend over $2000 for a laptop I expect to be able to put my wedding photo disc into it and save them. Yes I know I can buy the external drive for $79 but after the amount I paid they should offer it bundled for nearly free

This is the second MacBook Pro I've purchased, and the second one I've gotten at BestBuy. Although many people like the slightly smaller 13" laptop, my preference is the 15' model. Extra money, but worth it if you spend a lot of time on your computer. The MacBook Pro I replaced was 6 years old, and although I thought it still had some use left, when I brought this new one home I was amazed at how much faster it responded. The increased RAM, I think, made a big difference--and with the upgrade my newer programs and internet browser are more geared to this new operating system. Wish I'd gotten it a year or two earlier. As for BestBuy, I find the staff always knowledgeable, and I love the Rewards program too. With the MacBook Pro--if you've debated on getting one, do it. You'll love it.

This is my first Mac product. I have had iPhone and iPad products for about 4-5 years, and I finally jumped all the way over to Apple. I am now fully Apple, and I'm very happy. I am glad that It comes standard 16 GB of RAM, and Iris Pro isn't too bad either. I professionally edit videos, and this computer has been great so far. Even though it is the base model, don't think this is a bad computer. This will get the job done, and then some.

As a long time apple user I haven't had to buy a new Mac in years. I finally found this computer open box for a great deal. I called Apple with the serial and verified it wasn't super old, but after finding out it was only about 1 week old and returned within that time I was psyched to buy it. Runs amazingly and the new OS is way better than the last 3. If you have the money and you do anything in the arts or creative world, this the the only Mac laptop for you. Only because I saw a girl in the store throwing a FIT to her father because he didn't buy it first before me (it was $450 off) I say this: if you are a college student (or the kid you are buying one for is) UNLESS YOU ARE IN MUSIC, FILM, or ART you DO NOT need a Mac. Parents: save your cash and buy a $300 HP that will do the trick. Don't spoil your kid with a fancy computer that offers no other features to them other than texting from their laptop from an iPhone!
