Absolutely the best laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this laptop based on research, advice from friends and family who know the market, former laptops I've owned, & testing them all out when at Best Buy. This is by far the best laptop I've ever had. It absolutely top quality, has a user friendly setup, and is efficient and durable...all which add up to the finest machine out there no matter how many bells and whistles the others have. It's worth the price which is competitive with the other brands of top of the line laptops. The Best Buy on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, DE, where I made the purchase, have a most fantastic computer staff to help you choose a laptop for you. They are patient, knowledgable, and listen to your needs. They were amazing!

Great Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the Flash Hard Drive this laptop smokes. It is almost as fast as my desktop which I built and also has a Flash Drive in it. I was truly impressed even if it is a Mac (I'm a PC guy myself this was a xmas present to my wife) with the speed and the Retina Screen is beautiful.

So far, works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I expected. I needed an upgrade from my previous MacBook Pro, which had 4GB memory and 320GB hard drive. I'm a professional web and graphic designer, and speed and ability to handle complex graphics and programs is important to me. Love the retina screen and lighter weight. A drawback is no CD/DVD drive. For the price, it would have been nice for the separate drive to be included, but that's Apple for ya.

Outstanding Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lighter than I thought it would be and very fast with its solid state memory. The screen is everything you need or could want in terms of quality. No CD DVD Drive and I guess that is one of the only downsides. Otherwise if you need a laptop to perform intensive tasks. This is likely the machine for you.

Best computer I have ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently went back to college for my bachelors of science In nursing. I have always had PC's ie. Dell, Toshiba, HP, Sony but took a chance on a new OS with the MacBook pro 13". It has been a night and day difference this MacBook is blazing fast and 10 times more productive than any of my last computers even with 8 gigs of Ram (my Toshiba had 16 Gigs). The retna screen is beautiful I have never seen a crisper sceern and it is a blessing for those long nights of studying when your staring at it for hours on end. Design and quality are unmatched and all the software you will ever need comes pre installed for free. Pros- fast, productive, top shelf quality, rugged aluminum body, retna screen. Cons- most people use windows so for school projects you will have to convert pages or keynote to Microsoft word or PowerPoint. Price at almost double what I paid for my most expensive PC this little beauty will set you back but it's well worth the extra coin especially if you already own other IOS devices. No iptical drive built in but most PCs are going this rout also so its not isolated to apple and they do sell an external disc drive you can plug in. Over all I would buy another Mackboolk pro in a heart beat and never look back.

A great computer. Expensive, but great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple MacBook Pros are the most sophisticated, talented laptops in the business. However, the high price steers many folks away from them. But the MacBook Pro is worth the higher price. Extremely low risk of viruses (which can really slow down or kill a Windows laptop). Fantastic set of standard software, including business items and fun photo/music programs. And did I mention fast? This one I bought is replacing a three year old MacBook Air, and it's incredible - even though the 3 year old laptop is still going strong. That's a testament to the fine products; can you say that a 3 year old PC laptop is still as fast as it was at its birth? Also, this MacBook Pro laptop has the retina display - which has to be seen to be believed. Simply stunning.

Retina display is off the charts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first macbook. Ive been waiting for the switch. Im glad i did. I cant believe how fast this machine is. Still getting use to it. Although some major windows features that i utilize on a daily bases mac does not have like shift select in thumbnail view, and delayed send email. These are the major features that Apple needs to get!!! another thing is that i noticed that certain features are different in other apps, like ctrl+enter to add www & .com, on chrome itts ctrl enter, and safari its apple enter. Ive realized that apple is really geared towards the younger crowd, or people in the media industry. as far as business goes, it lacks important features. I find myself going back to my windows for certain features, especially Delayed Send Emails. I like to work late at night, and it would be unprofessional to send out an email at 11:00pm to a client. If Apple would listen to the feedback and complaints from users who switched over to mac and take them into consideration, Apple will dominate. I think apple should focus on the business and financial industries a little more. overall this machine is great for everyday personal use. Not great for work use depending on the industry the individual is in.

Mac Book Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're considering a MacBook Pro, you're likely also considering the Air as well. On paper, there seem to be distinct differences between the two: Pro is faster, Air is more portable, Pro has more I/O ports (USB, Thunderbolt, etc.), Air has better battery life, etc., etc. In practice, however, the MacBook Air is still incredibly fast and responsive; the Pro, at only .71in think (only .03in thicker than the Air), is ludicrously portable; both computers, in reality, are very evenly matched. Except for one, small detail. Alright, it's not exactly a small detail. It's actually a 11.5in-by-6.5in detail. The screen. Now I wasn't a fan of fancy UHD 4K SMART HDMI RGB FBI televisions, or whatever they're called these days, but the Retina display on the MacBook Pro has changed all that. This display is just one of the most gorgeous displays I've ever looked at. Compared to the MacBook Air, colors are so vivid you'll feel like you're actually in pictures, text is so crisp it looks like it's printed onto the screen, and even if you think none of that matters to you--it will. Just take a trip to your local Mac retailer, get a Pro next to an Air, and pull up some high-res landscape photos on Google. Forget performance, RAM, CPU clock speed, hard drive storage space--forget everything (even forget your own name)--if the difference in image quality stuns you the way it stunned me, buy a Pro. If it doesn't, or if you're more impressed by just how paper-thin the Air is, buy the Air. It's as simple as that, because in reality these two laptops will perform faultlessly and (almost) identically, and either way you'll be satisfied.
