Absolutely the best laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this laptop based on research, advice from friends and family who know the market, former laptops I've owned, & testing them all out when at Best Buy. This is by far the best laptop I've ever had. It absolutely top quality, has a user friendly setup, and is efficient and durable...all which add up to the finest machine out there no matter how many bells and whistles the others have. It's worth the price which is competitive with the other brands of top of the line laptops. The Best Buy on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, DE, where I made the purchase, have a most fantastic computer staff to help you choose a laptop for you. They are patient, knowledgable, and listen to your needs. They were amazing!

Great Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the Flash Hard Drive this laptop smokes. It is almost as fast as my desktop which I built and also has a Flash Drive in it. I was truly impressed even if it is a Mac (I'm a PC guy myself this was a xmas present to my wife) with the speed and the Retina Screen is beautiful.

Mac Book Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're considering a MacBook Pro, you're likely also considering the Air as well. On paper, there seem to be distinct differences between the two: Pro is faster, Air is more portable, Pro has more I/O ports (USB, Thunderbolt, etc.), Air has better battery life, etc., etc. In practice, however, the MacBook Air is still incredibly fast and responsive; the Pro, at only .71in think (only .03in thicker than the Air), is ludicrously portable; both computers, in reality, are very evenly matched. Except for one, small detail. Alright, it's not exactly a small detail. It's actually a 11.5in-by-6.5in detail. The screen. Now I wasn't a fan of fancy UHD 4K SMART HDMI RGB FBI televisions, or whatever they're called these days, but the Retina display on the MacBook Pro has changed all that. This display is just one of the most gorgeous displays I've ever looked at. Compared to the MacBook Air, colors are so vivid you'll feel like you're actually in pictures, text is so crisp it looks like it's printed onto the screen, and even if you think none of that matters to you--it will. Just take a trip to your local Mac retailer, get a Pro next to an Air, and pull up some high-res landscape photos on Google. Forget performance, RAM, CPU clock speed, hard drive storage space--forget everything (even forget your own name)--if the difference in image quality stuns you the way it stunned me, buy a Pro. If it doesn't, or if you're more impressed by just how paper-thin the Air is, buy the Air. It's as simple as that, because in reality these two laptops will perform faultlessly and (almost) identically, and either way you'll be satisfied.

Great overall value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I compared a few models before finally settling on this one. This is my first Mac computer. I have several Apple devices in our home and love how easily the Mac integrates with them. Especially my iPhone. The setup was so easy. Took just a few minutes. The battery life is quite good. Now since this is my first Mac, there is a bit of a learning curve to the operating system compared to the normal Windows I'm used to. This model is quick and I can multitask between programs very easily. Easy is a pretty common word when talking about this computer. Everything is easy to do. The Retina display is beautiful. The colours are so vivid and sharp. I love the 13.3" display. I contemplated the larger screen but decided on this one and am very happy I did. The computer is relatively light. It's incredibly thin. I'm overall very happy with this model.

Long Time PC User...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a PC/windows user forever. When my Toshiba Satellite hard drive gave out over two years ago, i stopped the search for a personal laptop and used that for my daily needs. After two years i finally wanted a computer of my own to store all my music, movies, pictures, etc. I was very interested in windows 8 but having iPhones since their beginning, and the countless praises for Mac's i started to research and ask around. My conclusion i came to was to spend the extra money and get a Macbook, and i have no regrets. This is the updated model from the mid-summer of 2014. It is extremely fast, has more than enough storage, and multi-tasking is a breeze. I mainly use it for web surfing, streaming NHL, Music/Movies/Photos. This was the best investment I could have made and will never switch back to the PC.

Best computer I have ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently went back to college for my bachelors of science In nursing. I have always had PC's ie. Dell, Toshiba, HP, Sony but took a chance on a new OS with the MacBook pro 13". It has been a night and day difference this MacBook is blazing fast and 10 times more productive than any of my last computers even with 8 gigs of Ram (my Toshiba had 16 Gigs). The retna screen is beautiful I have never seen a crisper sceern and it is a blessing for those long nights of studying when your staring at it for hours on end. Design and quality are unmatched and all the software you will ever need comes pre installed for free. Pros- fast, productive, top shelf quality, rugged aluminum body, retna screen. Cons- most people use windows so for school projects you will have to convert pages or keynote to Microsoft word or PowerPoint. Price at almost double what I paid for my most expensive PC this little beauty will set you back but it's well worth the extra coin especially if you already own other IOS devices. No iptical drive built in but most PCs are going this rout also so its not isolated to apple and they do sell an external disc drive you can plug in. Over all I would buy another Mackboolk pro in a heart beat and never look back.

Been a long time coming...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I went to an engineering school for undergrad where they provided your computer because they wanted everyone to have the same software and whatnot. However, I've been lusting after a Mac forever, and now that I'm on my way to grad school, it was the perfect time to buy one! I chose to buy this at Best Buy because I bought my camera there previously and enjoyed their financing option (no interest!) and also I'm a huge fan of price match. I actually didn't use price match for this because there was a sale, so I got the laptop and a copy of windows for less than the price of just the Mac if I would have gone to an Apple store. I actually returned my first MacBook when I noticed a small dent, there was no issue, and they let me check out the new one for dents before leaving the store. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

I should have done this years ago
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had wanted a Mac for years but would never buy one because I used MS Office at work and most of my personal spreadsheets and documents were in MS Excel or Word. Now that they have a version of the MS Office Suite for the MAC, I could make the change. This is a smaller computer and much lighter. I like the separate drive for DVDs and CDs since it makes the computer itself lighter if you don't need that drive. The Apple Store offers unlimited training on their computers for new purchases - one year for $99. A bargain if it helps me to learn how to use this computer fully.
