Magic Trackpad 2 is rechargeable with a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time
Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content
Magic Trackpad 2 also features an edge-to-edge glass surface area that is nearly 30 percent larger than the previous trackpad
This design, along with a lower profile, makes scrolling and swiping through your favorite content more productive and comfortable than ever
Magic Trackpad 2 pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away. And the battery will power your Magic Trackpad 2 for about a month or more before needing a recharge

Best Method for Moving Around the 27"
|Posted .I was initially reluctant to buy the MagicTrackpad when I got a 27" iMac, but I am very glad that I did! With the size of the screen it takes several passes with my mouse to move across the screen. The TrackPad allows me to move anywhere on the screen quickly and easily. With the multiple gestures you can use if can do much more than the MagicMouse. I still use a Magic Mouse, but am trilled that I purchased the TrackPad.

Trackpad vs Mouse
|Posted .Owned for 5 months when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I like it. But my desk has very limited space so i was moving it around all the time. And recently decided to try out the mouse. I like both but have been using the mouse more since it doenst take up as much space and bc the top layer of my desk is one big mouse pad. I do like how both options have the gesture's features.

Great Trackpad
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I upgraded from the original Magic Trackpad to the Trackpad 2 due to the original one sticking during clicks. I've never been a big fan of trackpads and generally prefer a physical mouse. The Magic Trackpad 2 is more enjoyable than the original mostly due to its size. I also like that it has a physical on/off switch and is rechargeable via a lightning cable. They are pricey, but I purchased an open-box model and used some rewards certificates to bring the price below $100, which I think makes it a much more reasonable value.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5It works better than a mouse with the ipad pro but there are still sometimes when you click on things it never registers of course that is probably the ipads fault but overall very pleased with the trackpad.

Q: QuestionIs it a keyboard?
Asked by Rickdiefenderfer.
- A:Answer No. It is similar to a touch pad on the laptop. You slide your finger(s) across the surface to move the cursor, fields, etc. You can use other gestures and press movements to open menus typically associated with the mouse or changing screens. I place it next to the keyboard and use it in place of the mouse. It is much more effective than the mouse without the wide range of movements the mouse requires for a 27" monitor.

Q: QuestionCan the apple magicpad work well windows 10
Asked by Bruce.
- A:Answer Well... It is kinda complicated. If the purpose is to use a trackpad on a Windows-only PC, then don't consider this trackpad. You need to install special software which makes it barely work with a few gestures. If you don't install the software, it only accepts clicks, no gestures whatsoever. However, if you are on a Mac and using Bootcamp to run Windows 10, then the trackpad works fine. So it really depends on the scenario.

Q: QuestionCan the trackpad be used with a Mac Mini?
Asked by tltcajun.
- A:Answer Yes...I’m currently using my 2nd gen Magic Trackpad with a 2012 Mac Mini. Even though Apple says you need a newer Mac with Bluetooth 4.0 it still worked fine with my older Mac. Just plugged it in using the USB cable to to Mac, and it synced up immediately, and has been working fine wireless ever since. I think the requirement for BT4.0 is actually due to BT4.0 being better with power...so their battery life ratings require it.

Q: QuestionCan you turn off bluetooth and just use the trackpad with the USB cable?
Asked by TimO.
- A:Answer When the trackpad is on the USB cable (charging mode), its Bluetooth capability is turned off but it is still fully functional as a pointing device.

Q: QuestionIs there an option to turn off the bluetooth and just use the magic trackpad (along with magic keyboard) in wired mode? I'm shopping for a new keyboard/trackpad for a mac and prefer the enhanced security of wired.
Asked by Sally.
- A:Answer Unfortunately not - the lightning to USB cable is just for charging the device. The actual connection will take place using Bluetooth.
