The best product I bought in 2011

In my bedroom I wasted money, time, drywall that I could have saved all with the apple TV. When about to mount the TV in the living room I research a bit more and decided to try the apple TV, the best choice.... I love it! I like that can play the images on my computer as screen-saver... just a detail comparing with all you can do!

Great addition to any HDTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my Apple TV! easy to hook up, just plug in the power cable, Hdmi to your tv go through your first time setup & you're ready to go. I have it hooked up to my 65" Panasonic plasma 1080p HDTV & the picture is awesome even at the Apple TV 2's 720p. Lots of neat apps for streaming movies, sports & music. I have tons of Apple products (iPhone, iPad, iPod, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, MacBook Air, Mac desktop, airport express, etc) AirPlay & computer home sharing is great, as with Apple everything just works seamlessly together as it's intended to. I can play movies or content from these devices to the Apple TV & have it displayed on my tv. I'd definitely buy another if it were still available & would recommend it to friends & family! The only downside is the remote (directional arrows) is kind of clunky to use when trying to type something with the online virtual keyboard. I'd definitely recommend getting the Apple remote app for your iPhone, iPod or iPad to have touch screen swiping of the directional arrows if you don't plan on buying a Bluetooth keyboard. Other than that, Apple TV 2 is awesome.

The Apple TV is incredibly easy to use

Not only is it great for movie watching, it really makes using other Apple devices better and more enjoyable. Having movies that you purchased reside on the cloud makes for very convenient viewing. Movies that come with a digital copy can also have the digital copy reside on the cloud for easy access. The entire Apple TV experience is easy and enjoyable. Setup takes almost no time and is very simple.

No other manufacturer provide such an experience and design. Great design and ability for the apple community to provide additional apps for your system. Wi-fi connectivity and response times are the best.

Video, Music and Photos at your finger tips

- A:Answer You won't need help with an install. It's VERY easy to set-up. Plug in the power cord, HDMI cable to your TV/receiver and that's all. If you have wireless at home, you can set it up for that or just plug an ethernet cord into it. Very easy.

- A:Answer The first generation Apple TV had internal storage that could be used to store your media library. the current generation (the little black one) does not. it simply connects to the library you have on your mac or pc and allows you to play that media on your home theater system.

- A:Answer Netflix requires a monthly subscription. apple tv does not, you can purchase movies and television shows a la carte through your itunes account. movie prices range from $0.99, $1.99 and $4.99 for new release in HD. perhaps a better option for replacing directv/cable to watch network television is a device with hulu plus interface. this has a monthly subscription as well, but much less expensive and no commercials ... I think

- A:Answer You do not have to have a computer to watch Apple TV, however you must have an internet connection, a wireless modem and router for the system to work. All set up and interaction can occur on your TV screen.
