Wonderful compliment to iPhone
||Posted .I had considered an Apple Watch for a while before finally purchasing one after the new Series 1 was released. I am happy I did so. Before, I was not a watch-wearer; However, now I can't leave the house without my Apple Watch. I am what I consider a "typical user:" I use it for cardio and strength-training workouts, checking notifications, Siri, and directions. (Therefore, the Series 2 was not justified in my mind as I really didn't need the full waterproofing and the brighter screen. Workouts - Apple Watch is great for tracking outdoor or indoor workout of any kind (except swimming, really). I love checking my every day activity to see if I filled my Activity Rings and to see how I match up against friends. "Waterproofing" - The Apple Watch Series 1 isn't truly waterproof (aka. the only thing you really can't do is submerge it). I've read that it's designed to withstand things like rain water, shower water, and faucet water (when washing hands, cooking, etc.) and I have not run into any issues with this at all. I have gotten it wet multiple times with no problems at all. Notifications - This is a great feature. It "taps" you on the wrist lightly, and it allows me to "pre-screen" things - to see if it's really a notification worth getting my phone out for. Siri - Awesome with the new processor. I have some friends with the Series 0 (original model) and this was a turn-off for me when I saw them use it. It seemed slow...however with this model, the Series 1, it's really quite speedy. I think the updated processor makes it a truly great feature. Directions - I had no idea I would use it this much. When you start navigation on your iPhone, the apple watch displays step-by-step directions and gives you one of two distinct tap patterns for turning left or turning right. Therefore, I know where to go sometimes without even having to look at my phone screen! It's one of the most surprisingly helpful features that I didn't know I needed. Just splendid. Screen brightness - I've heard the Series 2 has a much brighter screen for outdoor use, but the Series 1 screen is perfectly fine for me. I don't notice any visibility problems when outside in sunlight. iPhone - For what it's worth, I use it with my iPhone 6S. I've noticed the same, if not better, battery life since pairing my watch. The Watch app is useful for customization and installing apps. To conclude, if you've been thinking about buying an Apple Watch but wasn't sure if you wanted to talk the plunge....at this price it's very worth it for a moderate user who doesn't need the fancy new features of Series 2. The updates processor makes this model very worth it.

Series 1 Is All You Need
||Posted .I'm an Apple fan - iPhone SE, MacBook, iPad, iMac, AppleTV. I don't normally wear watches... don't like the feel on my wrist, mostly because they're skinny as heck! But I got this when it was on sale for $149, and couldn't be happier. There are 100s of replacement bands out there, and I plan to look into those soon. The one it comes with (2 sizes included in the box) is smooth and light, but it seems my wrist is fated to be in the middle of sizes - one hole is a little too tight, and the next is a little too big. So I will look into adjustable bands, something like the linked watch bands. As long as you've got your phone around (not sure about the exact distance, but I've been in my backyard with the phone inside the house), you can make/receive calls and texts and get your updates. Of course, if you leave for work and forget your phone, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to use all those features. Check the App store for compatible apps. I don't use a lot on my watch, but it will come with the basics and a few others that you can keep or delete. A lot of the functions are similar to those on other Apple devices (swipe, long press, short press, etc.) and you'll learn the tricks pretty easily if you have other Apple products. Battery life isn't bad. I wear my watch all day and throw it on the charger when I get home. Then, I can put it on when I go to bed (I like to track my sleep habits/patterns). When I get up in the morning, I throw it back on the charger and then grab it when I walk out the door for the day. Face size - like I said, my wrists are pretty small, so I got the .38 mm size. The .42 might be too big for the average female's wrist size, but if you've got big wrists, go for the bigger size. It's cool too that it can be calibrated to wear on either wrist, and in addition, you can set it to be worn with the dials on the left or the right, and it will still function either way. There are several watch faces you can choose from, including your own photos, or even just have it display the time in big block letters. All in all, I'm glad I purchased it. I probably wouldn't buy it at regular price, as I don't feel like it's a necessity (but then again, what is these days?!) but at $149 I couldn't pass it up. Lots of my co-workers have one (different series here and there), and one of my buddies purchased one for his wife. She loves it, and now HE wants one, but he's gonna wait til they go back on sale again. :)

Only accessory your iPhone Needs
||Posted .Increased at a glance notification awareness when you're too busy to actually grab your phone. Nearly all of my phone apps are available to use on the Apple Watch including launching my GoPro Camera's app and operating my GoPro directly from my watch. This is just an example of the versatility of the watch. Almost literally anything your phone is capable of, the Apple Watch Gen 1 can keep up with. Battery life is of course dependent on use, but getting through a full and busy typical work day has never been an issue. With the use of the activity counter (health meter) I find I'm more conscious of staying active, taking time to breathe, stand and walk when prompted etc. Something I didn't expect to happen, happens seamlessly with gentle reminders from the watch (when this function is activated). I'm nearly 51 years old, and although I'm not tech savoy, the watch is intuitive and easy to operate and is easy to customize to my lifestyle. If you're in the market for a smart watch and think the price doesn't meet the hype of the Apple Watch....You're exactly like me. But, after taking the plunge, I wonder how I managed without the Apple Watch for so long. Cheers! Zip~

Love my watch!
||Posted .I didn't want an Apple Watch at first. I experimented with the Fitbit family for about a year before ultimately changing to an Apple Watch. I give four stars because it doesn't track my sleep and needs to be charged every two days. However, despite the short battery life it is worth it. It does great tacking my activity and gives me little awards for my small accomplishments. It is really great when I'm driving because I don't drive a car with Bluetooth. I can safely see who is calling or texting without picking up my phone or taking my eyes off the road. It connects to my phone easily and does almost everything my iPhone does. The functionality is amazing and the touch screen is a dream for something so small. I purchased the space gray one in the smaller version of Series 1. It is very fashionable and I love the interchangeable band option. I have a lavender one on now and get so many compliments. It is a great accessory and would go back in time to get this avoiding the nightmare of Fitbit.

Great watch
||Posted .I read the comparison between this and the newest version and honestly this version is perfectly suited. Yes the battery is at 10% by 8pm but by then I am no longer running from office to office and my phone is perfect for any other correspondence. I love the workout app that is loaded as it helps keep me in check with my HR. Great watch!

My first Apple Watch...love it!
||Posted .Recently got the iPhone 7 Plus almost 2 months ago and wanted to look into the Apple Watch. I found this on Best Buy's website, read the reviews and tech specs and was sold! It works great! I have no issues with it and highly recommend it! I love the fact that you can make and receive calls right from your wrist, send and receive texts from your wrist, track your daily exercising and movement and so much more!

Best Iwatch price
||Posted .This is the first generation iwatch, there’s tons of app available for sinchronizing this and the iPhone. I left this phone for a week from my daughters place I missed it so much I’m so dependent in to it. This is a computer in my wrist. I’m using the Dexcom G5 it’s a glucose real time monitoring, very useful medical device viewed to the watch. I love this watch.

Great Reminders
||Posted .Apple Watch is great for reminders, answering calls, and delivering text messages to you with full text. However, replying to text messages is quite a little difficult. I also love the feature of the camera. It allows you to take the picture and see how your picture will come out from the watch. The Apple Watch, however, doesn't have a camera inserted.

Q: QuestionWhat does this do, other than tell time?
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer So much. Heart rate. You can see and reply to text messages. You can answer and make phone calls. Tracks steps and movement like the Fitbit does. You can read and reply to emails. You can talk to text, use quick preloaded messages or draw the letters to type. You can talk to Siri. You can download a sleep tracking app. You can use locate my iPhone. You can see weather. You can also see things and get alerts for calendar. You can use it as a remote for taking pictures and playing music. Stop watch. You can see and reply to Facebook messages. And I know I'm missing so much
