Q: QuestionWhat’s the difference between gps and cellular? Can one connect and receive calls/msgs with gps ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The difference is with GPS you will need to keep your phone close by in order to get notifications and calls on your watch. ( roughly a 30’ range ) If you decide you want to leave your phone behind and still have the ability to connect you will want the cellular version which will require a monthly fee to your cellular service provider. Great watch, enjoy it.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between gps and gps + cellular
Asked by halee.
- A:Answer Basically gpa you can get your calls etc but your phone has to be within a certain range. Cellular means you can leave your phone at home and go on a 10 mile run or more and still have your watch as a phone

Q: QuestionWhat network does this work on. Can this be synced to my phone and not have to have another line
Asked by Lawana.
- A:Answer The GPS+cellular watch uses your telephone & telephone number for phone calls, texts, etc when you’re connected to your phone via bluetooth and also independently when your phone is out of range. The GPS only version connects via bluetooth and only works when your phone is connected and in range. It works on most cellular networks, but your phone and watch have to use the same network. I have Verizon for both my watch (series 3) and my iPhone, and it costs roughly $10-15 a month through Verizon to use my watch as “another line”. If you don’t want to use your watch independently and pay an additional monthly amount to your service provider, I suggest buying the GPS only version and saving yourself $100. It all depends on how you intend to use your watch.

Q: QuestionDid they discontinue rose gold? Is this gold really a gold color, or a rose gold. I have a series 2 rose gold, and want to upgrade to the 4, but I want the rose gold color, not gold.
Asked by Chanson.
- A:Answer Hi, so I asked the same question when I purshased the watch because I wanted the gold color, not rose gold. They blended the two colors so it’s a gold with a pink tone to it. But it’s not as rosy as a rose gold. If you wear it with pink it makes it look more pink.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between buying the gps+cellular and buying the at&t option?
Asked by NicoleP.
This question was asked about the related product: Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS + Cellular) 40mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band - Space Gray Aluminum (AT&T)
- A:Answer In order to enable the AT&T option ($10/month) you have to purchase the cellular feature on the watch. This allows you to use the watch without the phone for calls. The watch will work as a stand alone device IF you purchase the cellular option and then add it to your AT&T service plan for the additional $10/month. Hope that helps! Additionally, you don't HAVE to enable with AT&T. I purchased the watch with the cellular feature, but haven't enabled with AT&T, as I typically have the phone with me and the watch on.

Q: QuestionI understand the difference between the (gps) and (gps+cellular) models. If I have AT&T as my carrier, do I have to buy the (AT&T) specific model, or can I buy the “universal” (gps+cellular) model, and activate with AT&T later?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, I bought my Apple Watch 4 (with cellular) from Best Buy. I called my carrier, which is Verizon. It cost $30 to activate, and am charged $10 per month for this device.
