First let me say that I picked up the Star Wars a few months back and it was so much fun I had to purchase AFM when it became available on bestbuy.com. The build quality and ease of assembly mirrored the Star Wars machine. Arguably these pinball machines are the best constructed units Arcade 1up has offered to date. With my Star Wars machine I did purchase a piece of tempered glass from my local glass shop and since my tempered glass piece for AFM is not here yet I was able to see a side by side comparison and can unequivocally recommend changing out the stock plexi. The difference is like night and day. The interface is really easy to use and I love the variety of old time actual pinball tables with the AFM machine. Now to the not so good... 1) As has been documented in several reviews, White Water is completely unplayable. How A1up allowed this machine to ship with such a glaring issue is beyond me. 2) Several other tables take some getting used to because they're so fast. I would have appreciated a setting in the menu to slow these down some. 3) Leaderboards. I liked the simplicity of a TOP 10 like in the Star Wars machine. The leaderboard here is not as good and the pre set high scores are unrealistically high. 4) I think the haptic feedback here is much more muted than in the Star Wars table. I have found a video online with a fix for this problem, so that will be my weekend project. 5) I have found some issues with certain tables having overly sensitive tilt settings. Like the speed issues I mentioned I wish A1up would have built in a tilt sensitivity setting. Four of of these five issues above can be corrected with a software patch. Hopefully Arcade 1up will provide something for us. As a whole I'm still happy with my purchase for the most part and it's a great visual addition to my game room (I just need to add some art work). But I'm kind of surprised that some of these issues were not caught before this was released. I'd still give it a conditional recommendation.

I ordered this on-line from BB and drove 3-hrs to pick it up, (BB won't ship this to your house) but the trip was well worth it. This is my 12th Arcade1up unit and only Big Buck Hunt beats it out as my favorite. The build quality and finishing touches of this machine is top notch for its price range. I only had this unit for less than a week but Medieval Madness has become my favorite out of the 10 game package, followed by Attack from Mars and Arabian Nights. The remaining 7 others are a mixed bag for me. For the most part, they suffer from the ball going straight between the flippers waaay too often. There seems to either be a layout issue or physics problem. But just having my top three make this purhase a great buy. Probably with more time on this machine I'll become better on the other seven, well maybe six. White Water has layout issues that causes the ball to zip past the flippers too often. Each game has very detailed instructions that will help guide you on how to play if you choose to read them. PROS: The soundtracks for these games are hilarious and the game play is very realistic. Dual Speaker Design that sounds fantastic. The unit looks awesome and is built to last. 10 Pinball Games in one with detailed playing guide. Easy scrolling game selection feature. Fun factor gets high marks and makes you come back for more. CONS: At least one game (White Water) has playing issues. The 24 inch screen is 720p and not 1080p. No Wi-fi. The tilt feature seems nonexistent on my machine.

It's small and feels odd and off at first, but once you get used to it it's a fantastic machine for what it is. The game selection is great, and I totally forgot I'm playing video. I'll probably upgrade someday but this is a great way to test out virtual pinball. One issue I had assembling it is the back cab holes didn't naturally align and I had to drill new ones. Easy but annoying for something so expensive, but we've had so much fun since I don't even care

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, build quality, and ease of assembly of the Williams Bally Attack From Mars Pinball Digital with Lit Marquee. Many appreciate the fun factor and the realistic feel provided by the solenoids. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding screen size, occasional lag issues, and the price point. Software problems and inconsistent nudge functionality have also been reported by a few users.
