There are really two types of people who would be reading this review: those who've never seen Archer and are wondering if it's good, and those who've seen the first 3 seasons and are wondering if the 4th rises to the same offensively comedic standard. Answers are yes and yes. If you've never watched Archer, jump right in. Although there are inside jokes that build through the series, the episodes are largely self contained. Archer is a drunk spy... there, you're up to speed. You can jump into any season or episode and enjoy it. You will also have the overpowering urge to then start the series from the beginning, so you won't miss anything. The show, though a cartoon, is definitely not for kids. At all. Even more so than something like Family Guy, though if you like Family Guy you will probably also like Archer. So basically if you like offensively adult cartoons, and the idea of a drunk misogynist spy blowing stuff up sounds like good fun, this show is awesome and you have been deprived by not watching it sooner. This show, much like a Will Ferrell movie, is just as funny (often funnier) the 2nd through 100th times through. This makes it a good pick to actually buy on DVD or Bluray, as you'll find yourself watching it over and over, unlike something like Entourage or Lost that you watch once and then it sits. If you've seen Archer's first 3 seasons, season 4 simply continues the trend. Same crazy schemes, same dysfunction, same jokes. Nothing about that should imply a bad thing. This is simply the same great level of humor that we've come to expect.

Not much to be said about Archer at this point that can't be summed up by the title character's favorite line..."Danger zone!" The 4th season is easily the strongest yet, opening with a hilarious journey into the complexities of amnesia, taking us through everything from illegal immigration to gay panic, and ending with a deep-sea adventure. The season itself marks some of the highest high's of the series, and even at its weakest (Midnight Ron) it's still funnier than anything on CBS right now. The blu-Ray has a great anti-static cling gag mustache on the cover and has the usual "season mode" that plays all episodes non-stop, but sadly for true fans that want to keep learning more about the creative process the features are sadly thin, just a couple of silly short segments. Even so, the strength of the show itself justifies the purchase for nearly every casual fan, so all in all it was a no-brainer to stop and pick this up the instant it was available.

I have been a fan of the FX series Archer since it's debut. I've also been a fan of H. Jon Benjamin since the show Dr. Katz. The rest of the cast are just as amazing. This season was really more of the same - which is actually a good thing. All the characters are simultaneously lovable and loathable. Their quirks, hangups, and rapid fire physical and oral assaults keep you coming back for more (kind of akin to butler Woodhouse's addiction). This season's premier episode is a great tip of the hat to Benjamin's other show he concurrently does. To be honest, ldidn' t even like that show at first but it has since gro'wn on me. Unfortunately . The lack of extras in this season is the only reason for the missing star. Still, what is there is great! We actually got to see Fisherman's Wife! Still worth every penny! If you're a fan, buy it. If you're not a fan, buy it!

This season is just as good as the three before it and I can't wait for the next one to release. This series is just great and I haven't found anything that I dislike about it. I'm glad to have gotten one of the original copies with the slip-cover as well; I wasn't previously aware of the release and it was sold out everywhere else. Not only was the show great but it was offered at the lowest price at my local Best Buy. If you've never seen the show, just watch it; it only gets better as the seasons progress. If you've seen the show, you know exactly what I mean.

Season 4 was the best yet, gut-busting laughs.

Season 4 continues to build on the Archer legend while referencing Jon Benjamin's other star turn on another network. Archer's "vacation" from ISIS is hilarious, and the season ender with Benjamin's other castmates in supporting roles is a climactic tour-de-force. I'm sure fans already know what I'm referring to, but I don't want to spoil it for newcomers. To be honest, I haven't checked out the extras yet, but they're surely well worth tuning in for! All in all, a must-see for anyone with a taste for "mature" (who does that advisory think it's kidding?) humor.

I have loved this show since day one and can not wait for the newly aired season to come out on DVD already. This show has alittle bit for everyone, except children. I recommended the show to a friend of mine, who did not understand it at first, and now he absolutely loves it. The only complaint I have with this one, and the other seasons, are its stale extras. Archer Live! is pretty funny but would have enjoyed an entire viewing of the show rather than the best ofs. Would make the DVD price acceptable.

Archer is one of the best programs on television right now. The forth season continues bringing just what you've come to expect. It's a show filled about competent spies going into dangerous situations and generally making things much worse before somehow finding a way out. It's got the same off the wall, adult humor from the previous seasons. If you love past seasons of Archer, you'll love this. If you didn't care for Archer before, this won't change your mind.

If you liked 1-3 of Archer, you'll like 4. Some might say "more of the same," but the same of great is also great. I'm not saying it's everyone's cup of tea, but nothing is. This show has is a surprising amount of depth for a story about a character so shallow. Every episode builds on the last, and every character experiences growth, all the while filling more than the required amount of violence and... other inappropriateness. Good times...
