$60 well spent
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAssassins Creed is based around the time as the Third Crusade, around the year of 1191 AD. This game is beautifully set up, amazing display of second generation graphics and in game play. In this game, you make the rules, you decide when, where, and how you are going to assassinate your next target. Ubisoft yet again brings games to life as you actually push your ways threw crowds and decide your destiny. Unlike other games of its class, you cannot just pull out your sword and kill everyone you see, it even gets as real as only being able to withstand humanly blows (Which means no more big blows to the head, and no more having hundreds of arrows sticking out of your body). I personally think that this game deserves 10 out of 10, and should have its place in every gamer’s house.

Fun, but repetitive
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendYou play as an assassin in a huge open world environment. You get assassination missions assigned to you where you must go to a town, and perform investigations about your target, and when you have acquired enough knowledge you will be able to complete the assassination. The levels are huge, and you can just, run, and climb on almost anything. You have to use stealth when running/climbing to avoid being seen by the guards. The game play is pretty fun, the investigation steps have you pick pocket, interrogate, save people under attack by guards, and ease drop on people. The only bad parts about the game are: the combat is a little lame. You have a one button attack, and the guards block almost every time you attack them, you just have to keep hitting them till they don't block it. The other thing would be that after awhile the missions can get somewhat repetitive.

Great game for 20 dollars.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendNew to Assassin's Creed. Wanted to start with the first one. I plan on playing the others. Great game. The ony thing I didn't like about it was it did get a little repetitive doing the same tasks over and over again before you would kill your target.

Stunning environment with a tad of choppiness
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWhen you first start the game, you'll start wondering what the heck is going on. You'll soon find out there is a dual storyline in this game of present and past. You get to control "Altair" (the name of the ancestor/assassin) and go off in little investigations which lead to assassination assignments. The environment is stunning. The A.I. of the populace is great too. There are town drunks and beggars that can really blow your cover when you're trying to do stealth kills. There are choppy transitions. The details of the environment is so stunning in this game that I think that it's too much for the Xbox 360's processors to process without a little choppiness on the visual end. The character is so agile and can climb up almost anything and jump from rooftop to rooftop, you'd swear that the only thing missing for the main player/character is webslinging abilities and a Spiderman suit! For all the hype that surrounded this game, I am a bit disappointed. You are limited in the weapons you can use and it IS possible to just run and gun your assassination assignments rather than go stealth all the time. It makes the game more difficult when you do this, but moving in stealth mode (blend) from location to location or from assassination to assassination all the time can wear on a player's patience. Overall, great game, but I've seen other games put the Xbox 360 to better potential than what the hype states this game does.

a Delightful Time Piece
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendCrawl, climb, and jump over roof tops of buildings alone justify this next GEN for anybody to relish. You are surrounded by countless scenarios to maneuver to complete your tasks. I especially like the fact that each movement of individuals you interact with is different. The art design is outstanding. As you make your hasty escape from the goons, you are thankful for the hiding places you encounter. Fight scenes could use a little work, but as you move forward in this game you are sure to master them.

Really good game
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI just beat this game last night, and must admit that while it does get a bit repetitive, there is always more than one way to approach any given situation, especially once you have been at least 60% upgraded. The combat is stellar. Without spoinling this game for those of you who have either not bought this game (shame on you) or not beaten it yet, this game is simply a must-buy. If you are trying to convince a parent or a spouse to get this game for you, tell tham that it is one of the best games available on the Xbox 360 at this time. You simply must experience this for yourself. Buy this game, don't just rent it. You will want to engage in immense, ten-minute long sword fights in the city square time and time again. You really will. Buy this game. You will not regret it.

Awsome Game
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game will be sweet, you are set in ancient times and are an assassin that can do anything, climb, crawl, kill and much more. The depth in this game is amazing, all of the sub missions are great to beat this game thoughly it will take the average gamer quite awhile, and even longer for the achievement crazies. With the huge gaming world, the solid game play, great graphics, depth of the game play, and the general idea...an ancient assassin this game promises to deliver. Its a must have for any gamer that is looking for a challenging game that isn't over in 10 hours. I say...BUY IT!!

Simply put, this game is AMAZING!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is the best game of the last year that was not a first person shooter. It offers a fresh form of game play that is fun and sucks you in from the moment you start playing. The visuals are some of the best to date. This game rewards you for thinking about your next move and not simply rushing into a situation. It does a great job at making you feel like a true assassin where stealth and shadows are your only friends. The achievements for finding all of the hidden flags are fun and challenging. Every boss has to be approached in a different way keeping the game interesting. However, running around to every view point and collecting all the information on the "target" can become a bit tedious at times, but are worth the cut scenes that show you the landscape and the jump at the end. (You'll find out what I mean) Also some of the mini-games where you have to collect flags that your incompetent informants dropped before you can get the information that they have are really repetitive and only serve to break up the fantastic game play that the rest of the game offers. The swordplay controls are very easy to use and the moves that Altair pulls off will leave you wanting to run around and get into fights just to see them over and over again. There are only two major downsides to this game: First, there is no multiplayer and second, there is no downloadable content that adds anything to the game. This adds up to the fact that when you are done with the game, you are DONE with the game. Nonetheless, this game is well worth the money even without the replay value.
