Great price! Great Laptop!
||Posted .I love everything about it. It is thin and does it exactly what I need it to do. Surfing the web, checking my emails, and being able to download apps from the PLAYSTORE is all I want to do. My favorite app is the ONE NOTE. I use it every day. I am able to print without a problem. I have the EPSON ET-4750 PRINTER. I must say that if you try to print using your personal WIFI it won't work. The WIFI connection has to be connected from the printer in order for you to print. There is more information to give about printing but I will not give it out. BEST BUY is a great store but they will not help you with any simple question because they want you to enroll yourself in the tech support plan which is $200 or pay to have them come to your house. I'm glad I figured out how to print. So, if you want a simple computer for basic stuff this is it!

||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.the reason i gave it a 4 star is that the free 3 month Webroot don't work it is not compatible for Chromebook why offer it if it don't work? plus i try several times to add my personal photos to my theme and could not do it? this thing call linxus i don't even know what that is? it is for my wife and she has to get use to Chromebook cause we always been with Microsoft for about 20 years and it is hard to change. it is a good laptop for the price.

Great Product for a middle school student
||Posted .This product is great for my middle school student to search the web and complete school assignments. The price was great due to the fact that I am not ready to purchase a really expensive computer for an 11 yr. old. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend this product.

Great Value Laptop
Posted .The laptop is overall a good laptop for those that need it for light use like myself such as watching videos and shows and browsing the internet. It is also an excellent choice for those who are on a budget when it comes to getting a laptop. Its aluminum body makes it feel premium and makes it look really good. It is super fast, especially when turning it on. The only downside is the screen quality but it's definitely not bad and is great for a laptop under $300. It is one of the best screens I've seen on a laptop of its price.

Don't buy, garbage and poor customer service!
||Posted .Owned for 5 months when reviewed.I have another Chromebook and this by far is the worst I have used. Garbage, runs crappy looks good that's about it. And when I went to go return this it never got returned because of the run around I got with 2 different reps. Really surprised on both Bestbuy and Asus very disappointed and wish I would have pushed the issue way more to return this overpriced junk. Don't buy this the money is a waste! The display is also terrible too!! I have had it put away because I get so upset and annoyed at the whole product, situation with best buy and the poor quality.

- A:Answer The Asus C523 is a new 2019 model that came out in the last month. This particular version on the Best Buy site is the C523NA-DH02. That version is the basic one. It does NOT include a touch screen, even though the BB website says it does. It is a fine Chrome book though with an aluminum chassis for durability. The version with all the options is the Asus C523NA-IH24T. That premium version has the same chassis, but instead of a Celeron N3350 CPU dual core CPU it has a considerably faster Pentium N4200 four core CPU. It also has a sharper screen. The DH02 has a non touch screen display with a 1366x768 (720p) resolution. The IH24T premium version has a 1920x1080 (1080p) full touch screen display. There is also a difference in the solid state storage size. The premium version C523NA-IH24T doubles the eMMC storage from 32GB to 64GB.

- A:Answer In my opinion Chromebooks in general are better for everyone doing basic tasks (including senior citizens); they have built-in virus protection and are much more secure than a Windows laptop - great for browsing the internet, checking email, watching Netfilx, and using the included Google Docs and Sheets (comparable to Word and Excel). They are easy to use, different in some ways than Windows, but the same in a lot of other ways. The batteries in these also last much longer than a Windows PC. Keep in mind with a Chromebook to fully utilize it, it requires an internet connection (doesn't work well off-line). I have not done much with games, but I know there are a ton available through the Google Play store (same games available for Android devices).

- A:Answer The Asus C523 series of Chrome Books is a new 2019 model released in the last month or so. There are multiple variations of this same basic model to choose from. The one attached to these questions is the base model... the C523NA-DH02. The model that has all of the upgrades is the C523NA-IH24T. That premium model includes a considerably faster 4 core Pentium N4200 CPU instead of the base model's Celeron dual core N3350. It also upgrades the display from a non touch screen 720p , 1366x768 resolution one, to a full touch screen 1080p, 1920x1080 resolution one. The description of the base model on the BB site states it has a touch screen. It does not, that is in error. The premium model also doubles the solid state storage from 32 GB to 64 GB.
