Q: is an intel i3 processor significantly faster than the celeron pentium
A: It depends on what your are running. For MS Office, web surfing and the like, no you will probably not notice much if any difference. If you are doing any gaming or graphics, you WILL notice a difference, but the i3 on this machine only runs at 1.8ghz. I bought the i3 over the celeron and have been pleased with the performance for the $100 difference.

A: try to do a battery calibration manually by draining the battery completely without the AC adapter connected then charge it fully without the system being used or power on.
