Asus routers are generally pretty sturdy and reliable for home use, with reasonable prices. I have been using Asus routers for years, through different models, all satisfactory. Average life of those models are around 3 years, which is reasonable. The router gets a little hot compared to other brands, but I wouldn't worry about it if it doesn't break down because of that.

Nice little wifi router. I set it up in high location near the center of my house and have could coverage through out. Speeds are impressive. ASUS has a great iPad app for management of the unit.

ASUS is an awesome brand that most people do not take serious. They do a great job in quality and design. I love this router, fast, reliable, affordable and looking good.
