Customers are enthusiastic about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070’s performance, power efficiency, and effective cooling system, frequently citing its ability to run games smoothly at high settings with low temperatures. Many appreciate the card's compact size and the inclusion of 12GB of VRAM. However, some customers express concern over the relatively high price point and the potential for coil whine in some units.

I have the Asus Dual 4070 OC coupled with an i7-12700F which has created a VERY formidable gaming machine. I upgraded from a Asus phoenix 3060 oc single fan to The Asus dual 4070 oc. I can confirm that this dual fan card has no cooling issues in a 4000D airflow case. This card maintains temps under load that rival all the other 3 fan 4070s on the market. The cooling outperforms the FE model. It stays far cooler than the little 3060 I had. The silent mode is nice when the 4070 temp is below 55°C the fans wont even run. I habe never seen the average temp over 65°C the Vram seems to get hottest on the asus dual 4070 but never too hot, highest I've seen is 72°C. Some people have complained about coil whine, my specific card is barely heard when your ear is up to a case vent let alone sitting 2-3 feet away from it, and/or having headphones on. I play games at 1080p with MAX settings currently. I know the 4070 can be considered overkill for this application, but I still found myself turning down settings at 1080p on a 3060. I primarily wanted a card that would age well playing newer games at 1080p with higher frame rates. The Asus dual 4070 oc allows me to do just that, mine boost clocks far beyond the 2530mhz that it guarantees while sipping less than 200w. I have a 750w power supply which is more than enough for this CPU and GPU combo. The added ray tracing performance is a huge plus. Also, I can always move up to 1440p monitor whenever. The Asus Dual 4070 oc only needs a single 8 pin pcie, which allows for more visual customization with cable extensions over using the 12vhighpower adapter that is required for the FE model. I have it coupled with The Appearance of this card is very appealing to me. I spent a lot of time just admiring the craftsmanship of the asus dual 4070. Though it may initially look simplistic, upon further viewing in person, the quality of materials alone speaks for itself. Sure, the fan shroud is plastic but that is most 4070 cards and it does not hurt the esthetic at all. The metal backplate looks great and helps resist sag as this dual fan card still manages to be about 1/2 in longer than the width of an ATX motherboard. It is quite thicc being roughly a 2.5 slot card. The size overall is pleasing. The fully encompassed cooling fins make this 4070 look sleek and refined. Personally, the pass-through section of the cooler is one of the most pleasing features both functionally and visually. The ONLY reason I don't give this card 5 stars is for the same reason i wouldn't give any 4070 5 stars. That reason is the price. $600 for this is still better than buying a used 3080 for more. Not to mention, it is FAR more affordable than the 4090 and 4080. The 4070 ti does not seem to give enough performance gain to justify the extra $200-$250. The 4060 and 4060 ti didn't offer enough performance gain over my previous 3060. So, the 4070 made the most sense in my situation. I was still able to sell the 3060 for $200 which made my cost more like $400 to upgrade. Which I decided to be acceptable since I am unsure how supply will hold out. The Asus dual 4070 oc seems relatively readily available and you are not taking any sort of performance hit with this card compared to 3 fan 4070s.

Earlier this year I found myself unexpectedly needing a new video card. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see NVIDIA cards at Best Buy returning to MSRP prices. Of course, that may have to do with the release of the Super series and a need to clear old inventory, but who knows. I saw a price decrease on this ASUS 4070, and I jumped on it. So far, I have been pleased with the purchase. The card is much more power efficient than my old Radeon card. Much to my surprise, the video card is quiet. I actually expected the two-fan setup to be louder. NVIDIA has better drivers than AMD. NVIDIA DLSS is better than AMD’s FSR. I get much better frame rates than I did with my 6750xt. The card is also much quieter and runs cooler. Over the last two months, I have put the card through the paces on a 1080P high frame rate monitor. With settings nearly or close to maxed out, I got good, stable performance on everything in my library. Cyber Punk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy played well. I really appreciated the FPS, the stable temps, and the quiet fan operation. The card only needs one power connection. I have attached some screenshots from a few games so you can see some of the reported stats on temps and power consumption. I have never seen temps get above 59C. Conclusion, I think this is a good pick-up. I thought the cost savings and availability were worth the trade off of 10% better performance and a few new features of the TI or Super card. 4.5/5 Recommended. * About my system, I am currently sporting an Intel i7 12700k processor, my motherboard is an ASUS TUF-Gaming Z690 Plus, I have 32GB of Vengeance DDR5 RAM (purchased from Best Buy), WD Black NVME, Samsung 980 pro NVME, and a standard Samsung SSD (also from Best Buy), in a Corsair 4000D case, and a Corsair 750W PSU (both also from Best Buy).

the graphics card is a very solid purchase i made and i love it deeply. If you pair it with a good CPU this thing is wonderful for the price and its performance. I have had it for almost a month so far and no issues with any drivers or anything. The graphics card runs very quietly and the software is very minimalistic so nothing too confusing. I recommend this product any day of the week as long the price stays around $520-$580. It was also packaged very well and secured, it would not budge out of the packaging and overall it was great. This card is one of their cheaper cards for a 4070 and i think it’s wonderful. When you first download windows it either downloads the software for the gpu where it overlocks it since this is a OC edition. If it does not automatically install which some people it may or may not, simply type into the search browser, “ASUS 4070 OC edition software.” it should pop up then and hit download and set up. This also comes with 12gb vram which is wonderful for those high intensity graphic games like Forza, Call of Duty Warzone, and Cyberpunk. This card is also recommended for 1440p and can support 4k in some games as well. I personally use a 1080p one because i havnt upgraded just yet but i will soon. 10/10 graphics card. Thank you NVIDIA! I love it!!
