Okay DO IT…
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re reading this, you’re a serious gamer. You probably want to upgrade from 144hz or if you seriously need an upgrade, 60hz. You’re an E-Sports player, this is a requirement (lol). My first thought was OH WOW 1080P $699.99 doesn’t sound right. Well as soon as I unboxed it and loaded up Valorant and locked my FPS at 360 I instantly felt better about this purchase. This really gives you that competitive edge. The bright and lightning fast IPS panel look and feel insane. This thing is crazy. Buttery smooth. I’ve had 144hz, 165hz, 240hz, 280hz, and now this 360hz and it’s night and day difference. If you see this ever go on sale JUMP ON IT and thank me later.

360hz ASUS ROG Swift works well on AMD
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought three of these around late November, and finally got them around end of December of 2020. The backorder process takes a long time. The monitors were great, most of them came in good packaging, one had a hard time trying to get here. They were all in good condition. I got these to work on a triple monitor set up on a 5700 XT AMD card, using the "Mount-It! - Triple Monitor Desk Stand." Need some long screws for the backplate, disassemble it from the mount that it came with and adjust the plate, and rotate the silver plates 180 degrees. The 5700 XT has 4 ports, and you can use 3x DPI (360hz each) 1x HDMI (60hz) for the 4th monitor. These monitors are heavy, has RGB on the back and generates a lot of heat. Good to have if you're working from home, and it's cold outside. It comes with USB extenders/splitters (you get 1 extra USB port for one USB 3.0, 2 for 1) on the back and 1x HDMI, 1x Display port cable, 1x USB. These cables are short, and the cable can reach below the desk (bottom left or right), and to the right of the desk as well. If you're buying this monitor, I recommend to buy a set of speakers to go along with it. If you have a Mac, you'll need the "Plugable" usb-c dock for this, but I think you can only connect up to 3 monitors (120hz, 60hz, 60hz). Hackintosh confirmed 360hz each :) One problem I had with this is if you use HDMI for a PS4 or a PS5, and you connect the DPI one to your PC, it will switch HDR and black screen for a second and a half. To work around that, switch the input mode and toggle it from Display port to HDMI. PS4/PS5 runs 60hz on this. I have not figured out how to make it run 360hz. For the gamers out there, I was able to do well on fps shooters on the 360hz, and there is not much difference between 360hz and a 144hz. You can still see a slight difference. This monitor supports HDR, but HDR doesn't help play better. On the AMD chip it works well with Radeon Anti Lag and Radeon Enhanced Sync

Easy Install, great specs, DOA
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon opening the box, this monitor has a very easy installation process. The monitor lays in vertical position, with the stand/arm in the open. You simply lift the arm while keeping the monitor in the box and then screw in the base, which has finger screws. Once the base is secure, you connect the display port and power cable, and can route them through the center of the stand Simply pull it out of the box at that point and place it on your desk, and plug it in. The panel itself is made of plastic and feels a little flimsy, however the stand is VERY weighty and feels great. The feature spec list looks great too Unfortunately, my monitor was DOA. Upon starting the monitor the screen would flicker and then shut off. I disconnected the display port cable thinking maybe the connection was weak - but even when turning ON the monitor with no input cable, just the power. The screen would show the startup logo (flickering) and then turn off. Same happened when using the OSD menu. The monitor was unfortunately defective out of box. I contacted ASUS support, and unfortunately got a bad phone rep who told me first to return it to where I purchased it for an exchange. The monitor is out of stock everywhere so an exchange is impossible currently. Then I asked if there was some type of RMA. He said they have a 'YOU PAY TO SHIP' and a 10+ business day RMA. Yeah so, I pay for shipping after already paying $30 to ship it from best buy to me, and then go 10+ days of business RMA (especially during covid) and then the monitor is now out of refund/return period at best buy So I had to do the right choice which was refund the monitor at best buy, the best buy customer service rep who handled my return was not tech savvy (although not part of their geek squad service, so can't blame them) but the way they handled the monitor by putting the panel on the table and touching the screen with their hand constantly was not appropriate for the tech. They also opened the box wrong despite an image showing how to remove the monitor from the box. Anyway, it was deemed defective by a geek squad rep and my refund was processed without issue. I don't know if the monitor was damaged in shipping or just defective out of the factory, it shipped in its original box - so if it was damaged in shipping (there was no physical damage to the monitor) then maybe asus needs to package their boxes better. That or QA team failed and sent out a bad unit. Unlucky on my part. I've ordered this monitor again from another website, which allows backorder but still out of stock. So hopefully in the future I can update this review to be more positive and try out this monitor. I've just updated my rig to be capable of pushing 300+ fps in many games at 1080p so I can't wait to try it. ASUS support failed me here, so a negative to them as well. A proper support agent would've shipped me a new panel, and then sent me a prepaid label to ship the defective unit back to them. Not make me pay to ship a monitor I already paid $30+ in shipping for, especially when it's their unit that is bad OUT OF BOX. Terrible customer support. In comparison logitech after sending them video proof of defects, would send me a new unit and not even require me to send the old unit back. Asus support, do better. Also best buy, thanks for processing the refund. I know it stinks to lose a big sale but what can we do. Also, an ETA on restocks for out of stock items would be great. The website is so vague, for both this monitor and other items/the RTX 3000 series. Literally impossible to tell when things will be in stock if ever.

The only competitive monitor you need!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my monitor. I really cannot say anything bad regarding this monitor. If you trying to play in a more competitive setting and have the money to spend, get it. It’s worth it and has a nice build and gaming look set up. I’m not going to discuss technical stuff since they are many YouTube videos with better reviews about this monitor. I would not do right justice but I do have to say after many many days of research and looking into gaming monitors. Decided to get this one and I don’t regret it.
