Best Android tablet out there.
||Posted .I traded my ipad for this tablet because functionality wise it made more sense. The screen size is perfect for watching hd movies. You can Bluetooth files back and forth to your computer with no problem. Jelly bean OS is great. Plus, you get the memory expansion option and you can connect your tablet to the matching keyboard that charges it while you're on it. Also, it has a mini hd port to hook up to your tv. The rear camera takes amazing hd pictures and videos. The front camera is also great for Skype. The only complaint about the camera is the location of it on the tablet. I'm not used to handling my tablet in landscape mode all the time, and sometimes you tend to block the camera with your hand while holding the tablet vertically. However, I have to admit there were a couple times where the tablet crashed on me while on different applications. Sometimes it was a little laggy when browsing the web. Plus the external keyboard is a little small and I was always clicking other keys when typing on it. The mouse function is a little confusing, rather than give you options to select if you want to paste something you copy from somewhere else, instead it takes you back to previous page. That's no problem though because is something that can easily be configured in settings. Overall, after playing with it for a couple weeks I decided to return it and get my ipad back. The ipad is just more sturdy and faster. Plus all the apps are hd. Don't get me wrong this tablet is great for IT people and it's very functional and versatile and the best android tablet out there. I know because I'm in IT. But at the end of the day I can do most of that on my android phone. Great product though. I highly recommend if you want an android tablet that's one the best. Plus you get a decent amount of free apps that in the apple App Store you have to pay for them. Note that, perhaps once the first update on jelly bean os is released the crashing won't be a problem after all.

Android Tablet - good battery
Posted .If you own a Mac, Iphone, and use ITunes then go ahead and get the IPAD. It makes sense for those people who are not tech savy and just want everything to play nice. If you are not attached to Apple then this is a tab you should consider. Google Play for those that have android phones so you can make your tab look like your phone if you would like. Only thing that I can say is that the new JB seems to have some glitches on the visual end. The tablet is still VERY usable but another update would be appreciated!

I like the speed, smoothness and HD quality
Posted .I' ve already stated my positive review for this great tablet, now it's time to get the real TF700 keyboard to complete the package. I'm an android fan, so the Ipad was not an option for me. Just my 2 cents, 'nuff said!

Great Performance, sub par Battery life.
Posted .I am probably the most pro Android guy I know. However, after comparing my Asus 700tf tablet with my girlfriend's iPad 4th gen, I felt like a I was beginning to understand what makes Apple products so superior. Here's the good: Easy to set up. Lots of bundled features. Endless apps in the app store for your pleasure. The Infinity's sleek look and quality also makes it a worthy iPad competitor. Not to mention, the quad core processor makes surfing and playing games feel effortless. The bad: Like I said before, comparing the Infinity's battery life to the Apple's was just down right unfair. How in the world Asus feels it's (25Wh) battery can compete with Apple's (42Wh) battery is insane. My tablet was getting 4-6 hours of battery life compared to my girlfriend's Ipad, which was getting 10-12 hours of consistent battery life. Conclusion: I returned my Asus within the 30 days. As much as I didn't want to admit it, Apple's iPad is better. The performance of the Infinity was impressive, however, the battery life disappoints. I'm still deciding whether to shoot for an Ipad. Decisions, decisions.

High-end Android Tablet: has iPad users envious
||Posted .I had a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for a while. I thought it was great until I got this device. With it's built-in 32GB and NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, this tablet has all but replaced my laptop. I have added the keyboard dock to it (more later.) The screen is bright, the battery life long enough (for me) and Asus has already come up with a firmware upgrade since I have owned it. I did have an issue with not being able to find a proper case/folio/cover for it. I solved it by buying the keyboard/dock. This comes with a full-sized SD slot, USB port for an external device (like a mouse) and an additional battery. The charging port charges both the internal battery of the tablet and the battery in the keyboard, giving you extended life. They keyboard also had a button to turn off the touchpad mouse so you don't inadvertently re-position the cursor. Folded, this unit fits nicely in my messenger bag and goes with me wherever I go. It has all but replaced my laptop for day-to-day use. The USB port does not support my external USB HD. It must draw too much power. I have not tried it with the charger attached or the external USB drive separately powered. The metal case is likely to be scratched easily to take care when handling. I am putting extra thick rubber bumpers on all the surfaces so that they do not contact anything that might come in contact and mar the beautiful look of this device. With the keyboard attached and the screen tilted back, the tablet does have a tendency to tip back. There isn't enough weight to hold the front edge down. I might have to build up the back edge with some rubber feet to change the center of gravity...or add some lead tape to the front to give it some additional weight. The rear-facing speaker is a negative: compared to the Galaxy's forward-facing stereo speakers, this is a missed feature. All-in-all I would recommend this for people who use it like I do: i am near wi-fi most of the time or I tether it to my phone's LTE connection. I read the news, use it for mail, Skype/Google Talk, Facebook. I watch movies when I travel. I edit a newsletter once a week. My biggest use (which is why I got the 10.1") is I use it as a sheet music viewer when I play guitar. It fits nicely on my stand and doesn't blow in the wind. I highly recommend this device. NOTE: my first one had a defect and Best Buy exchanged it for a new one within the first 30 days. Great service. Buy the service plan folks. I

Best Android Tablet To Date
||Posted .Hardware-wise, this tablet is stronger than my wife's iPad3. The 10.1" 1920X1280 screen absolutely pops, with pure colors and peerless clarity. The Tegra3 SOC (System on a Chip) has been overclocked to 1.6GHz from 1.2GHz standard, and it really makes a difference. Coupled with the keyboard dock, it has become my new laptop. Literally. I sold/donated all of my old laptops because I really don't need them any more. Polaris Office is easily compatible with MS Office, and it comes pre-installed. I added a photo editing suite and upgraded movie editor, making it my perfect all-in-one setup for home and office use. The onboard 802.11b/g/n WiFi is quick and lightweight, and has no noticable impact on my network load, while the GPS is one of the most responsive I've seen. Indoors, buried underneath several floors of my office building, I can still communicate with seven different satellites. Both the rear-facing 8mp and the forward-facing 1.2mp cameras are clear and color-accurate. Videoconferencing with my cousins in Ireland has gone from a once-a-quarter occurrance, to a once-a-month get together, due to the clarity and ease of the pre-installed Skype app. The only complaint I have is not actually the fault of the equipment itself, but rather Google Play's limited number of true, optimized-for-tablet apps. This support, however, has improved considerably in the three months I've owned the TF700. I suspect we have the Nexus 7 and new Nexus 10 to thank for that. I think we can expect many more tablet-sized apps in the near future. Overall, the Asus Transformer Infinity has exceeded my expectations by a long shot, and I plan to buy another one this Christmas for my wife. Maybe that way I can actually USE mine for more than half an hour at a time. :)

Great first tablet
||Posted .Over all i think this is the best tablet for any android lover. Once you start it up and get all your updates installed, this tablet can do anything your heart desires (after a few tweeks here and there). My only draw backs so far have come from the random force closing and an alarm issue that happened after the jellybean update. The random force closing i can live with because its not on a regular basis and as far as the alarm goes, developers have already created a fix for it (just do a little research on google and you'll find it) so with that being said, if your thinking about buying one, stop thinking and get it! You'll be sure to love it in no time!

Great laptop substitute for students/casual users
||Posted .I bought this tablet for taking notes in class and to use as a desktop replacement when traveling. The TF700 is very light weight and nice to carry in a backpack. The included Polaris and Supernote apps are great for class, along with Kingsoft which is free from the Android market. Android has tons of other apps and the built-in apps from Asus are nice. The screen is very clear and bright, and I love connecting the tablet to my TV through HDMI to watch Netflix (can't do this with Hulu yet due to licensing rules). The battery lasts quite long and my computer accessories (wireless mouse & number pad) both work with the tablet. And of course, it's great for reading! My only complaint is that the sound is too soft, even when turned up to the maximum. It's not an issue if you use headphones or connect to a TV, but the built-in speakers are just too quiet. This issue has been widely reported so you can read more. Overall, this tablet is a great buy and I highly recommend it. Make sure to buy the keyboard attachment. The extra battery life and SD card slot, not to mention the keyboard itself which I'm using to type this review, are so so nice.

Q: QuestionIs the Asus TF700T 32GB upgradeable later to 64 GB?
Asked by Voon.
- A:Answer No. The internal memory is not upgradable on any of our Transformer tablets. However, the tablet does come with a micro sd card slot so that memory can be expanded via memory cards.

Q: QuestionIn StoresHello all- Are the Infinity tablets in the store as display models? I understand I will still have to order one, but I would like to try ot out first.
Asked by Guru.
- A:Answer I think for right now Best Buy is keeping their stock of Infinity Tablets at the warehouses and shipping to stores as people order them. So unfortunately they might not have them in stores for a while. On a plus side is that you have a 30 day return period (or 60 for premeir silver members) to try the tablet out.

Q: Questionis it true that the keyboard dock for for Asus TF-201 Transformer Prime is compatible with the Asus TF-700 Infinity Tablet?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes. A lot of people in various forums on the web have reported using the TF201 Dock with their TF700 tablets. Once you connect the TF201 dock it will ask you to update to a new firmware version 0207. As for the color of the two, they may not match exactly being different versions but buying the older dock will save you some $$.

Q: QuestionIs WiFI the only internet connectivity? Can I set this up with a wireless provider?
Asked by Goose17.
- A:Answer No, the TF700 is a wi-fi only device. You cannot buy a data plan through a carrier for it, but you can use a hot spot to give it internet connectivity.

Q: QuestionDoes this tablet support adobe reader, flash, and microsoft office?I am a college student and my laptop is too large to take to a cramped class. Does this tablet with the keyboard dock support adobe reader, adobe flash, and microsoft office? If it is not able to download Microsoft Office is there another application on the market similar to Microsoft Office?
Asked by CollegeBoy.
- A:Answer This supports Adobe. But if you are looking to use it for school. I do not recommend it.

Q: QuestionWould anyone suggest the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity for a college student??I hate taking my heavy laptop to class and would rather something small like this tablet and use a dock for more convenient typing. Please feel free to be honest.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer That is what I purchased mine for. the Supernote app to good for jotting down notes. I also use mine for e-textbooks; however, the textbooks I purchase are rather unwieldy, and must be accessed while online and from the browser. The kindle App does work well, and my 4 e-books saved me $350 over new textbooks, I calculate that by next semester, my Transformer and keyboard will be paid for.

Q: QuestionNo USB port on the tabletWith no USB ports (micro or otherwise) on the tablet, how can I easily transfer files from my computer to the tablet without having to spend another $150 on the dock to get the USB port availability. I can't use a cloud where I'm at because the internet is entirely too slow. My only option would be to use the micro SD card to move files back and forth. Is there another way?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The charger cable is also an USB cable, wich you can plug into your computer.
