Ill list the pros and cons first so you know please read the full. Cons: - start off storage is too low 512gb is not enough - entry level ram 16gb - battery life is atrocious 30-45 minutes at best off charge - laptop is very heavy -gets very hot Pros: - 16gb ram is dual channel and adequate enough for multitasking and gaming - ram is upgradeable - storage expandable up to 2x2Tb pcie nvme drive 4Tb total. - Ryzen 7 7000 series apu is great - RX 7700s dedicated graphics with 8gb vram is great with most any game especially for a laptop - rugged build for the laptop very sturdy design and screen is great Overall: This laptop is amazing. Its handled every game ive thrown at it with absolute grace. No problems with fps no stuttering no issues whatsoever. I will say the overall build is amazing the quality is great and its completely worthwhile. The price is a little higher than id like however this laptop appears to go on sale freqently and i was able to snag it for 742 after tax. Amazing bang for the buck. The laptop comes with 2 8gb 4800 mhz ram. Dual channel and 512gb ocie nvme drive. Its all expandable up to 32 gb ram at 4800 mhz and up to 4tb total for storage. 2Tb for each drive slot. The laptop does get very hot so i recommend a cooling pad to help keep performance high. Battery is atrocious if your gaming youll get about 30-45 min at best if your kucky. Youll wanna stay plugged in. That being said the laptop does come with a 280w power supply to keep the laptop plugged in and charged during any gaming session no problem. Watch a youtube video on how to upgrade the ram and ssd which is fairly simple and invest in a cooling laptop. Get one for 27 on amazon your good to go. I bought this plus another 220 for the upgraded storage capacity and ram plus cooling pad and this thing is an absolute beast. All you need is a mouse and your set. The 7700s also has smart switch so it changes from apu to gpu depending on the aplication your using to optimize performance for whatever the situation you have. Absolute must have and a great buy if you either dont have the money for nvidia or a team red fan.

Excellent build quality with minimal flex. The screen leaves a little to be desired, but for price what do ya expect? The 7700s gpu included supports frame generation in certain games such as silent hill 2 remaster . On quality settings I went from 70-80, after enabling frame generation it was averaging 100-125, full resolution. The laptop did run a little hot at around 92c, but I was not in an ideal environment. Ram and storage are easily upgradable, and there’s an extra slot for NVME storage. If you can get this laptop on sale, it is well worth the price.

After gaming on the Asus TUF A16 laptop for several weeks, I can say this is a truly excellent gaming laptop. Has the power to play the latest big budget games at high graphical settings. Doesn't slow down after being on for hours ether. The exhaust fans do become loud when this laptop is firing on all cylinders, but that is true of all gaming laptops. The display is high quality, can even go up to 165Hz. Colors are accurate and viewing angle is good. The keyboard is backlit, so you can use it easily in a dark room. Another plus for me is that the WASD keys are not highlighted. I am a ESDF gamer, so laptops with highlighted WASD keys don't make sense. This one is more professional in appearance. Keyboard feel is good too. Num Lock doesn't have an indicator light, but the num pad still works great. All the ports are on the sides of the laptop, so you can place it close to a wall without jamming any wires. Battery life is good. For gaming you will want it plugged in, as gaming will drain the battery quickly. If you intend to use for non-gaming the purposes, the battery life is very good. Stays powered on battery longer than most laptops. The Ryzen 7 7735HS processor is superb. I typically saw around a mere 10% utilization while gaming. With little CPU usage Smart Shift technology can feed more power into the Radeon RX 7700S graphics to boost clock speeds. The GPU is the most important component in a gaming laptop, and this one is a doozy. Every game I threw at it ran smooth at high graphical presets. The only issue I had was when the laptop powered down into a sleep mode, it would then power off, as if the battery and cord were unplugged and was shut down improperly. I don't know what caused this, but disabling the laptop from entering sleep prevented this problem. You can still have the display turn off, or just shut down regularly. That doesn't cause any problems. Boots up so fast you don't really need sleep/suspend mode anyway. The SmartAccess graphics feature worked flawlessly, switching between iGPU and dGPU without cashing once. Everything else worked fine. I even rage quit a game while testing, typed on the keyboard so aggressively my finger nail caught a key cap and popped it off. I was able to click it back on, and the laptop suffered no damage. It is definitely sturdy built. I would recommend this laptop.
