I bought this recently because the Dell that I had for 3 years was not functional for online school. I like this laptop for the most part. It is fast and very functional. I am a chemistry major and I have some programs on here and it can do computations relatively fast (much!! better than my old laptop but not as well as a fancy comp chem computer). The camera is great for online class and the audio crystal clear. However, there have been three main problems. (1) When I first got it, the internet browsers (edge and explorer) would not stay open - I was definitely connected to working wifi. Somehow I got internet through outlook and was able to download Chrome. (2) Due to the explorer/edge problem, the laptop does not like to open pdfs. This is a big problem when pdfs will not open on the first try. (3) There is a faint, high pitched whining sound coming from the laptop. It gives me a headache after a while since all of my classes are online.

I love this laptop because it’s so much faster than my 6-year old i5 ASUS laptop (which is still working perfect except little slow). One of the features I was looking forward to with this was the backlit keyboard. My keyboard is not backlit and I have looked at ASUS hell and computer’s/window’s help There are supposed to be two Fn keys to turn backlighting in or off but my keyboard doesn’t have them. If it doesn’t, this is one reason I ordered this model. Is there another way to find/turn this feature on/off? Would it be possible to exchange this if feature is not found?

So I’m a big fan of asus, I’ve had their zenbook prime for a solid 6 years and only had to replace it because of an electric converter issue that happen oversees. This laptop is very nice and sturdy. It’s not a pretty as some of the zenbook models buy still a very nice feel. The screen is very clear and and the way it folds out gets some getting used too. I would say that for the money these zenbooks can rival a MacBook Air.
