Somewhere between entry-level and mid-range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had numerous GoPhones (both Android and Windows) over the past several years, including a Samsung Galaxy Express, Microsoft Lumia 640, and an Asus Padfone X Mini. The Zenfone 2E has a good combination of features for its price point. The 5" screen is large and crisp enough to satisfy a typical smartphone user. Most apps run with ease thanks to the Intel processor, and the camera is completely passable for a phone under $200. Perhaps the most pleasing aspect of the Zenfone is its audio output via the headphone jack. My MP3s sound so much richer and fuller compared to other devices I've used in the past. I'm not a big fan of the volume rocker switch being located on the back just beneath the camera. The amount of on-board storage is a little stingy as well, but you can put a 64GB microSD card in this phone, so it's not terrible. Considering this phone hovers near the entry-level price range (I got mine for $100 on sale) the hardware specs are pretty decent. Battery life is above average from what I've experienced so far. I have the screen cranked to maximum brightness and can still get a full day's use from the battery. There is an "ultra saving power mode" that can dramatically extend battery life at the expense of limiting processor speed, background tasks, and data usage. Most users probably won't need to utilize the mode, but it is a nice feature for those times where you need to extract every bit you can from a dying battery. Overall, the Zenfone 2E performs nicely for an economy device. I don't have any major complaints about its design or performance, and will enjoy having it on my GoPhone plan for many months to come.

Great value for your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this phone for about 3 months now and do not have any major complaints. Yes, it only has 8gb of storage with only a little over 3gb usable, since the system takes over half of that, but I just recently started running out of space. This issue is easily fixed with the expandable storage up to 32gb. Another minor issue I have every once and a while is the fact that the phone freezes sometimes. However, one cannot expect much from just 1gb of RAM. It has gotten a little worse over time, but that can be do to my phone running out of storage and additionally installed apps. The built in booster app is helpful as it frees up unused memory. Overall for the price of the phone I cannot complain and I am very satisfied with this phone. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because of the freezing. However, I do not use it as a power device and in its category I would say it is a 5 star device.

BUYER BEWARE!! Item specifications not as listed!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The listed specifications for the phone on this Best Buy website are WRONG!! The phone actually has 1GB RAM and 8GB of memory, rather than the 2GB RAM and 16GB of memory listed on this website. The phone runs slowly, even with a loaded 32GB SD card, and comes with a whopping 4.67GB of pre-loaded bloatware, leaving you with only 3.33GB of memory. If you do not need much room this may be the phone for you. It feels nice in your hand, is aesthetically pleasing, has lots of options, has a better camera than listed (8MP rear camera, rather than 5MP)and calls sound crisp and clear. However, if you are buying for a quality phone with ample internal memory space, look elsewhere! I am highly disappointed to say the least! BTW... The two pictures attached were taken with the actual phone.

Great phone for a low price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure whether to get a smaller, less expensive phone but reviews on this phone were great and the price was right, so I got it. It feels great in my hand! Has an easy feature to help starters which I like. Great call quality so far and great to play my games on and check Facebook and email. Video quality is so-so but good enough for me. Still ,earning how to use--I used to have Android (my touch, G-1) and then iPhone, which I love but just cannot afford right now. This phone is perfect for students, low budgets, and android lovers.

overall a great phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the phone, except for the amount of phone storage. Too many apps are installed that I don't use and can't remove because they are part of the phone system. All phones have this problem, but if there was one thing I would suggest to all companies, allow us to pick what we want to use and not have so many preloaded garbage apps

Dependable smartphone for a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not using this as a "GO Phone", but purchased it to replace an old flip phone on my AT&T plan. Best Buy staff moved/upgraded my SIM card and that was all it needed. A very reasonable price for a great smartphone. I have purchased 3 of these so far to replace old phones on my plan and couldn't be happier. My wife and daughter have $500-$600 smartphones and I would put this phone up against them any day. At $60-$80 you can't beat the price. I was unfamiliar with the Android operating system and hesitant to make the change, but have found it to be just as easy to use as other popular operating systems. My 70 year old Mother and Mother-in-Law are using this phone and have had no issues after a few days of becoming familiar with the phone. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone making the change from an old traditional phone to a smartphone. A great price with all the features you need.
