Bought my first media rack eight years ago and bought my second one last year and was very surprised that Best buy still carries the same model

People Are On here reviewing the product that i dont think the majority of them bought. its a great shelf, granted the assembly process can be a bit on the downside of things. seems flimsy at first but once back board is on its holds pretty firm.. ATTENTION ITS NOT DESIGNED TO BE A MIDDLE OF THE ROOM SHELF IT IS A WALL HUGGER AND HAS WALL BRACKETS FOR A REASON.. The Pros: Great Durability Once Against Wall And Wall Mount Screwed In Holds A Great Amount Of Movies. Great Color-Blends With Anything. Affordable The Cons: The Very First Shelf Can Only Hold Cds Nothing Bigger Then A Cd Size Case Hassle Putting Together But Once First Part Is Up Second Is The Same. Dvds DO Stick Out A Bit. But A Movie Collector Will Know It Allows Us To Grab Them With Ease. Other Then That This Product Is Amazing And Im In love With It.. Couldn't Find One That Held Over 600 Movies With Out Paying Crazy Prices. Target Had One For $99 And Only Held 200 Movies Blahh.. Smae Price Better Quality GO GET ONE! 9.5/10 (Cause Of Put Together)

I was very hesitant to purchase this item after reading some of the reviews. Some people said it was too fragile, too hard to put together, instructions were hard, so on and so on. Thank god I didn't listen. The storage cabinet is fantastic. I had it built in under 45 minutes by myself. The look of the cabinet is fantastic. Compared to the prices of storage cabinets out there this is a bargain. I do aknowledge that the cabinet is not made of solid material (I am able to pick the whole thing up alone after it's put together) but that's the least of my concern. All the pieces came together great and after placing the wall mounts on the side of the cabinet, it's very sturdy. It's been 2 weeks since I set it up. I have a collection of games, tv shows and blu rays and they look great in the cabinet. The only thing to look for is that the top shelve is smaller than the others (they are all fixed shelve's and can't be adjusted). To give you an idea, I placed my Nintendo DS games on the top shelve for a perfect fit. All in all this was a great purchase and I plan on getting another one once this one fills up.

I'm actually a really big fan of this media shelf. Mind you, a good blow from a fan could potentially break it in half if left unattended during the building process, but once it's anchored into the wall, it's great. I like the look of it, and the capacity is very nice. Also, I recommend this to people who have the patience to put this together because the design is special. Another thing to note that I didn't see in other reviews is that when the blu-rays/dvd's/games/what-have-you are put into the shelf, they do lip out over the edge, which wasn't a deal breaker for me. More than anything, it surprised me, and I would have preferred a forewarning. I also noticed in the pictures that I saw, the one small shelf seemed to be on the top of the cases, but in mine, it's in the middle.

Pros: stores 800+ DVD/CD/VCR, looks modern, inexpensive. Cons: The two halves are solid, but when you put them together it isn't sturdy. I reinforced it with 6 brackets (pictured) that you can buy for $2 total. I would also fasten it to the wall to be on the safe side.
