Excellent turntable.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent some time looking at turntables before deciding on this turntable. This is one of the lowest cost manual turntables, but still has a USB. You really should not bother with anything other than a fully manual turntable. The quality is not the same. I may or may not use the USB to turn my vinyl into MP3 files I can play on my phone, but it’s nice to have the option. Last point, all these budget turntables come with very poor quality cables to connect the turntable to the amp. Check out audioquest phono cables. They really do make a difference. When I switch between the same track on vinyl and streaming from my phone there really is no comparison.

Audio Technica AT LP5 Turntable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally went to Best Buy to order an Audio Technica 1240 turntable but they were out of stock so I ordered the AT LP5 instead (new model) and I am very pleased with my decision. I just wanted a good turntable to listen to my old collection of 33 1/3 vinyl records and really did not require all the bells and whistles associated the the 1240 which is targeted to DJ's. I love the simplicity and look of the LP5 and I especially liked that it came with a cartridge already installed in the headshell. Definitely a plus for me. I have been listening through a pair of Roland 90A studio monitors and the sound is great. So if you want a quality turntable without all the DJ functionally, I would recommend this particular turntable. I am certainly enjoying mine.

Brilliant
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely flawless product out of the box. It’s super quiet, no hum and no messing with rubber belts. Speed selection is very easy. Simple to set up and the included stylus is a great start. This TT has made my vinyl sing and brought new life to my collection. Highly recommended.

Solid turntable for home use.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I appreciate good equipment and good music. This turntable delivers the goods for those who are willing to spend the money but not at the "audiophile" level. At $500, this is a solid turntable that delivers well for the money. Easy to set up and it comes with its own cartridge that is a cut above what most people expect. It is a fully manual turntable that is well worth the money.

Great turntable!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This turntable is great, being new, it is as close to old school as I have seen for the price. No bells and whistles, simple. I think it will last a long time. Sound, quality, and price all get a thumbs up from me.

Nice turntable!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I specifically looked for a turntable with both tracking force and anti-skate settings, and this has both. The only thing I'd change on it would be to move the cueing lever to the front panel, so I could use it without raising the cover. It has a good (not great) cartridge as original equipment.

Great turntable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a Christmas gift for my wife as she use to have old technics decided to bite the dust. Clean design with built in mono pre amp, she’s paired it with a Sonos connect and wireless speakers. Sounds great! She really wanted a higher end but totally happy with the quality and has regained her love for vinyls again. Would recommend for anyone replacing a old turntable or looking to start listening to music on vinyls.

Q: QuestionDoes this unit have auto arm return? Does it have a pre-amp?
Asked by bking807.
- A:Answer It is an excellent manual turntable. As such, it does not have an automatic return arm. Manual turntables require you to place the tone arm down with the cueing lever to start listening to the record, and lift it with the cueing lever when it's finished. But they sound much better than automatic turntables, because there are no additional motors idling constantly to create vibrations that are transmitted through the stylus to your ears. It does have a preamp.

Q: Questiondoes it have an automatic stop when it gets to the end of a record?
Asked by briclo.
- A:Answer The AT LP5 turntable not an automatic turntable. It is a completely manual one. You need to use the cueing lever to start listening to the record, and to return the tone arm to its resting place after the record is finished. Because manual turntables do not have an additional motor dedicated to operating the tone arm, there are fewer vibrations that might distort the sound.

Q: QuestionI am replacing a 40 year old Dual CS 2215 HiFi automatic turntable. But I want the new AT to be similarly fully automatic - when one presses the start button, the tone arm will lift, move to the start of the record and drop into place. Same in reverse.
Asked by alec.
- A:Answer The AT-LP3 and the 60 Series turntables are both fully automatic as you have described.
