Awesome, surpassed expectations.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just graduated for college, and received this cable from a graduation gift from my grandfather, who is in his late 70's and retired from a successful career in business. I was a little skeptical at first (graduated in engineering) but you don't turn down or exchange a gift in my family. To my surprise when I got home and hooked this up to my Xbox, my skepticism immediately disappeared. I was FLOORED not only by the video CLARITY, but by the AMAZING sound quality too. And the black levels. As a previous reviewer alluded to, the black levels really pop up better with this. (I'm using it on my 50" LG INFINIA). So I called him to say thanks, and he said happily that he knew I would like it. I asked him how he knew about them. Turns out that my grandfather recently upgraded to a DVD player (but decided to wait on blu-ray, because he's not convinced it will be the standard going forward. So it's better to wait on that for now.) But these cables will work no matter what the media standard is in the future a couple years from now. So in that way they are "future proof" and will still be under warranty. He bought two for himself (one for his receiver and one for his new DVD player (a SONY), then later went back to get my gift. He said that the gentleman at Best Buy explained that these cables are some of the best you can buy, in many ways superior to the Monster brand, which was at one point thought to be the best. These are even better, way better. People should note that while these cable do cost more than the cheap ones, they are of higher quality. Superior craftsmanship shines through, and give you the assurance and piece of mind of a FIVE year warranty. It's nice to deal with a company that stands behind their product (many other cable companies, don't offer such a warranty). And Best Buy was very helpful with helping my grand-dad. A+++.

One of the best investments you'll ever make!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HDMI cable is beyond words. I have a 27" 720p Westinghouse, but with this cable I get the visual clarity of a 65" 1080p Bravia. I'm pretty sure the cable bumped up my refresh rate to 240hz because my TV now looks more real than real life. For a couple hundred bucks more I could have gotten the 65.6' cable from AudioQuest, but that's a joke compared to this beauty of a 2 footer. Who needs more than 2 feet anyways? It's not like anyone keeps their PS3/BluRay player that far fom their TV. Immediately upon it's arrival, I watched "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2," my favorite movie ever, and nearly fell off my couch with the astonishing detail of the babies faces. The black levels on this are so intense they suck all the light in my house into themselves, and the whites and colors are so vivid that I can't handle watching my TV for more than 16 hours lest my eyes burn away. I've heard about people being cheap and buying HDMI cables in the range of $10-$20, and every single one of them that I know has been severely disappointed with the sub-par quality. If you're a cinefile and audiophile, don't settle for less. Buy something that's going to last you and make all your friends envy your high quality picture and sound. $935 really isn't all that much to spend for a cable. Think about it, you could get a laptop, a PS3, and 10 BluRays with that money or you could get the most incredible cable you've ever experienced to make all those things pop out of your TV and speakers immersing you in an escape from reality worthy of a Holodeck. Crisp Picture Quality for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 6 of these for my medical office to get the best quality picture out of my Sony KP43t75 as well as my computer monitors. I was a bit apprehensive about getting these because the price is so low and I've always had a "you get what you pay for" mentality. However, the sales man at best buy assured me that when it comes to signal cables, this is truly a best buy! I brought it to my office and to my dismay, they didn't fit into any of the slots on the behind any of the TVs. Luckily, when I went back to best buy, they had an RCA to HDMI converter! For a few more bucks, I was able to use these cables. The black levels on my CRT tv's are very deep, much deeper than any LCD on the market! Thanks Audio Quest! p.s. Best Buy offers a 2 year replacement plan, totally worth it if you've got pets, children, or plants at home!

Phenominal cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an inside tip from a friend that works at Cheyenne Mountain - they use these cables on the Stargate project. Really. They used to use Monster cables but lost too many SG squads - switched to these cables and never lost another squad since! That's what sold me! I think they switched over as well because the Monster cables were too inexpensive and they did not fit their image requirements for buying only the best and most expensive for government/military projects. No matter. I'm sold!

Good enough for Curiosity Rover good enough for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading how the Mars Curiosity Rover team decided to go with the AudioQuest Diamond HDMI cable to handle the transmission of data from the Mastcams and Hand Lens Imager I was sold. This is the ONLY HDMI cable that is free from the interference emitted by the Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator and I figured it would be good enough to connect my new Sony Blu-Ray player and TV while avoiding intereference from my high-powered grow lamps. Unfortunately, the shielding process used in the cable designed to transmit crystal clear images over the 100,000,000 mile trip (14 minutes to transmit) causes severe lip sync issues when used under normal atmospheric conditions here on Earth. Not wanting to let my near $1k investment go to waste I spent hours on AVSForum looking for a solution. Luckily, forum member "NASAROCKS" came to the rescue. He was one of the engineers that worked on the Curiosity Rover imaging system. He instructed me to attach a super ferrous magnet right outside the jacket over the 19th pin. PRESTO - worked like a charm - no more lip sync issues. I am stopping all 529 contributions for my kids college until I have enough to buy additional AudioQuest HDMI cables for my other TV's and my fifth-wheeler RV. Thanks Best Buy and AudioQuest!!

Good for those on a budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read a lot of great reviews about this cable but didn't believe that such an inexpensive cable could perform so well. I hooked up my Magnavox Blu Ray to my Dynex TV and I was somewhat disappointed. The picture often became pixelated and "froze" for a second or two. I realized that the connecter on the cable had loose tolerances so I duct taped it to the back of the TV and the Blu Ray and the problem disappeared. Looks pretty good now - about like my Amazon Basics cable. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would but given that AudioQuest is such a good company I'm giving it 5 stars.

Totally worth it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 24 of these to connect all my components for my media center, plus a few extra "just in case". These 2ft long cables are a steal at this price, from Best Buy. You won't find a cable this good any cheaper! The reviewer that gave these cables a 1-star rating has obviously never tried the AudioQuest cables in their home theater. If they had, they would have immediately heard and felt the warm, silky glow of audio/video experience immersion coat their brain like hot fudge on a sundae. Definitely recommended, even for budget system builders!

The best value per inch anywhere.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of picture coming through this incredi-cable is unmatched by any other cable on the market. I use them for every connection in my home theater and usually use 2 or 3 per device as they are only 2 feet long. Not a problem though. I tether them together with some HDMI connectors that I picked up at a flea market in Mexico several years back. Seriously, the picture is so clear, you will forget that you are in front of your tv and think you are actually experiencing the real world.
