Yep, I said it, Many people are upset upon watching the movie, and I understand the emotions there (No spoilers) but seriously, Infinity War had me with a throbbing heart (even after the third time watching it) - THIS IS NO SPOILERS REVIEW First of all, the Plot is brilliant, it broke down easily on the first time with few details I had to revisit the second and the third time, but it is brilliant, the movie did it boldly, and did it like no other super hero movie, One can say that giving the trends of Marvel movies plots, but this is like the highest you can go with stakes in a movie, it must be a gamble and yes it was for the directors I get why the ending was not everyone's favorite, but come on, there is a sequel, and the end is not what we would all expect, the ending was literally the last thing anyone thought, I feel like the directors did know what we were thinking and definitely surprised us, but in all honesty, kudos to the Russos, for interconnecting, engineering and building this masterpiece of a culmination, making all movies, all stories and all characters flow to this plot. Second, Thanos, he has got to be like the longest for them to develop, to build a character so complex in his own thinking yet so simple in his feelings, building a villain is really hard, but creating a villain with a balance was plausible. Third, the production of this movie deserves 100 out of 10, the Visual effects are stunning, the action scenes are astronomical, the pace and the combustible stakes are just INSANE, I was really thinking wait How far can you take this and they did, take it to the highest extremes, I usually am very critical of production issues in a movie but this was remarkable. Last, the actors have all been, without a doubt at their finest, Chris Evans is at his best, Downey was at his best, Vision was amazing, Ebony Maw was one of the most phenomenal characters, Hemsworth was so EPIC, Pratt was at his best, Zoe Saldana did deliver memorably, Iron Man VS Dr Strange was one of the best chemistry on screen ever, which is usually a hard thing to do in a movie like this, and THANOS, my god that guy roared, breathed, cried and smirked like a VILLAIN, Brolin deserves at least multiple nominations for this Here is the summary for you, Avengers Infinity war is a SEQUEL, it stands by itself from a plot but is still dependent on what happened prior to it, A Masterpiece of acting, Chemistry, production and well engineered story, it is bold, it defies our expectations and it is pushing us towards Avengers 4 at a 200 Miles an hour, CAN'T WAIT!!!

If you are a fan of Marvel movies and enjoy collector's editions, this item is a must have. Thanos is the main character of 'Infinity War' so it's only fitting to have his mug and the Infinity Gauntlet beautifully displayed on the cover of this Steelbook. It's an excellent package and has both standard Blu Ray, 4K Blu ray, and digital editions. As for the film itself, no tagline fits better than the one Marvel used in marketing 'Infinity War', it's "The Cinematic Event of a Lifetime." Representing 10 years worth of intertwined storytelling and filmmaking, 'Infinity War' is a filmmaking achievement rivaled only by 'Return of the King'. For a film with so many characters and so much backstory necessary to be fully understood, 'Infinity War' hits the ground running and does not slow down for a minute to let you catch your breath, and I mean that in a very good way. I would have expected nothing less from what is meant to be the climax of so many different long running plot threads. All that being said, viewing the previous 18 films is not a requirement to enjoy or more importantly appreciate what is going on in 'Infinity War'. For a film with so many plot threads, the writing and acting is still outstanding enough on it's own. Josh Brolin as Thanos and Zoe Saldana as Gamora truly stand out as the heart of the film, despite the former being the 'villain'. Thanos is a man on essentially a holy war to prove that he is right and truly believes his intentions are for the best, a level of depth we rarely see in film villains. Thanos is the hero of his own story, and even with the insane amount of power he acquires, he rarely 'fights dirty' or uses his wealth of power against the Avengers unless absolutely necessary when they stand in his way. The material in this film may be a bit too heavy for those younger than the MPAA rating of PG-13, in a way not seen in 'children's' films (I use that term loosely as Marvel films are clearly for all ages) since 1986's 'Transformers: The Movie'. That does not mean there is too much gore or language or anything of that nature, merely weighty themes that are a lot for youngsters to have to process. However if your child is watching this film, it is likely a good time to have discussions with them about the importance of themes in the movie such as sacrifice, determination, and how important perspective can be, I.E. the same thing from two different people's point of view can mean many different things. As you watch this movie, consider which characters win and lose, and the difficult decisions they are faced with that lead to these outcomes. Unless you are familiar with the source material, nothing can prepare you for how 'Infinity War' will end. "The hardest choices require the strongest wills." - Thanos

This movie is the darkest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and the most epic in terms of scope and the threat that harms the world. This movie is not only a great movie, but a monumental achievement and testament to Marvel's ability to realize its incredible vision. After 10 years and 19 movies Marvel has clearly shown that they know how to bring in hardcore and casual fans to the movies to see heroes dressed up in tights and saving the world. If you have been following this series and have watched most to all of the previous 18 MCU, this is a very satisfying payoff movie as it follows most of the heroes in the MCU. The Russos really outdid themselves, and through incredible editing and story telling they managed to tell a cohesive story that juggled numerous characters. Though there were so many characters in this movie, the movie gave most of the characters great moments. The standouts were probably Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Josh Brolin as Thanos. You believed their relationship as daughter and father respectively and you felt the emotional consequences of their relationship and what that relationship entailed. This was also Thanos' movie. He is without a doubt, my favorite villain in the MCU now and he is up there with Jordan's Killmonger, Hiddleston's Loki, and Keaton's Vulture. Brolin exudes such confidence, ferocity, and charisma in his performance that he sells the fact that he really believes what he is doing is right no matter how evil he seemed. I actually found myself agreeing with some of Thanos' reasonings at some points of the movie. This was an unconventional narrative driven movie. It truly stands as a monument to Marvel's ability to deliver a different and unconventional comic book movie experience, and many studios will come to look at this as a paragon of how to do a payoff movie in a series. Many may even compare this to "Lord of the Rings: Two Towers" (2002), or "Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back" (1980) in its structure, but I believe this movie even stands apart from those movies. The only drawbacks that I saw was the fact that if this was your first MCU movie you will have no idea who the characters were and will be lost when watching this movie. Also, because there are so many characters in the movie some major characters don't get a chance to show up and get more moments, but I expected this going in. Truly, not only a great comic book movie, but an incredible movie watching experience.

I kind of waffle on where Infinity War falls on the list of "the best" in the MCU films. As a 47 year old who grew up with his nose in (mostly) Marvel comics, there were only three other "eye openers" in the MCU. First, when the original Iron Man hit. It was proof, when given proper care, a superhero movie could live up to the comics. Second, when Guardians of the Galaxy came out, that (as an avid reader of the original GotG comics, where Yondu (and the characters making a cameo in Vol2)) that a third tier series, in capable hands, could be just as impressive as the "big leaguers". Lastly, when the original Avengers blew into theaters. The culmination of all the prior films, a movie that proved so many larger than life heroes could share the screen properly. It was a feeling of something huge, something unseen prior and, despite its success, may be difficult to duplicate. Infinity War somehow managed to up the ingredients, bringing all but a couple heroes from the now expanded MCU into the mix, up the stakes, and surpass expectations. It's the kind of event that the comics would spread out over 5 or 6 titles and 3 or 4 months, successfully smashed into a 2 movie event. If you're one of the dozen people who didn't see this in the theater, make sure you sit down with Thor Ragnarok first, as it'll have the answers to several questions (particularly about Thor and the opening of the film,) laid out to begin Infinity War. One of the brightest jewels in the MCU gauntlet.

The Culmination of 10 years of films pays off!

The Culmination of 10 years of films across 18 movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe pays off! This movie hits all the right notes in this story with drama, comedy, love, action and suspense. For newcomers of the series, this movie will not make sense, so it would have been great for Marvel to show a 5-10 minute recap of all their previous movies for the General Audience and even the fans who forgot some things. This film is unique and doesnt have the typical story plots, and the build up is worth it. The ending will leave you in awe and this movie is by far my favorite in the Marvel Universe. The limited editon steelbook is great with a completed Infinity Gauntlet by Thanos, who can be considered the main character of this movie. 4k Discs have amazing visuals and colors with exclusive artwork and the audio seems to be slightly improved from Disneys recent releases, but could use work. This also sold out everywhere after the first day with huge amounts of stock at all stores, so the hype is real. If you get a chance to purchase this again, jump on it.

This is easily the movie of the year, but the critics will ignore anything by Marvel. I truly wish they still made movies like lord of the rings for theatres. 3 hours no sacrifice of content. Can imagine how much better this could have been with more time. Even though not 3 plus hours, did not feel rushed and cut apart. After watching extra content and seeing all they did to create these scenes. As a fan I am appreciative of their effort. If you have invested the time to watch all the marvel movies in the past 10 years or just binge watched. This movie did all those movies a service and I am ready for part 2. Cannot wait. Captain Marvel comes out before, not sure how I feel about the new character jumping into part 2. Still excited. Steelbook is okay. Wish they did a pop art on this one. Just a smooth case. I do like the choice of thanos on the front vs just the A which they moved to the back.

5 Star movie / 4 Star Disney Messed up

Let's be honest, if your purchasing the steelbook you're a fan of this movie. you know how great it is, you have lived and breathed Marvel's story telling for 10 years now. Watching in 4k is going to be awesome The only reason I did not rate this 5 star is for 2 reasons. 1. Disney is not including the IMAX 1:91 aspect Ratio on any home version of it's release. Meaning we are not getting the picture as it's meant to be watched. We will have the larger black bars and getting less picture for more money. if it was 1:91 we would still have the bars but less of it. Reason 2 - Disney stopped releasing 3D movies for home release in north america about the time frozen came out. This will be the only disc that features the IMAX ratio. Disney 3D is not dead in north america please realize this. If you want the 3D version you will have to import region free from the uk or japan. I've ordered both. 3D at home on my 4k TV is awesome

Another great chapter in the Avenger's storyline! This one ends in a way that I think has forever left a mark on all those Marvel lovers out there. The 4k looks amazing! The only reason for 4 stars is I feel that the quality of the Best Buy Steelbooks has decreased over time. I have some older steel books and those actually MEANT it when they were called steelbooks. Now the cases are 90% plastic with a super thin "steel" cover on the outside. Its so thin when you tap it you can barely tell its any different from plastic. I understand trying to reduce manufacturing costs, etc. but when you are selling a "premium" option I feel as though the cost cutting should be mitigated to some extent so the end consumer is still getting a little bit of value out of it. Overall I'm still happy with the purchase and the resale value of the steelbooks are one of the best parts about them.
