Aventon A(d)venture
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. My first impressions if it helps anyone make a decision with buying. This bicycle looks good for sure. When unpacking and assembling you can tell that everything comes from overseas. Mine has a poor paint job on the main part of the frame for example. The secondary screws (like for instance fender assembly) are very soft so be extremely gentle and use good quality hex wrenches. I used Park Tool torque set on 4nm and still stripped one fender screw. Given the fact that the battery itself costs $500, you definitely get what you pay for. In my opinion it is a great bike for pleasure riding and I would not take it on the MTB trails for sure. It has a low clearance from the ground so be cautious (never pedal when going over curbs). The battery with combination of the motor looks like will give you what they promise. It has a slight delay of power supply both peddling and throttle which I personally like. Zoom fork and breaks are ok. Most likely front will need adjustment when you assemble to make it quiet. Crankset is okay for what this bike needs in my opinion, mine makes a little zing noise when turning backwards, not a big deal. The stock offered saddle is very comfortable. It is surprisingly quiet fat bike in this price range. Overall I would give it four and a half stars if I had to rate it again underlining the $2000 price. After first longer ride I call it “Chinese Cadillac of fat eBikes” if you know what I mean. At the end: if you are not sure, buy, test and you can return within two weeks from what I see on the web. Happy riding!

Good, critical part missing, no phone support
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Glad to see Best Buy carrying more EBike options. This is a nice looking sturdy bike. It is a heavy bike. The assembly video was pretty well done. Shifting is smooth, good power. There was a very necessary part missing. The nut and washer that hold the front tire onto the fork. When I went to contact Aventon I was shocked to get this message on the phone and on their website. “To better serve our customer in a more timely manner, Aventon phone support will be suspended for the time being.” In what universe does that make sense. I took parts from another bike of mine to make it work until I reach them. The front fender was also slightly bent. I would still recommend this bike but I am still stunned by the difficulty in reaching Aventon.

Extremely disappointed
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This bike is an utter disappointment and false advertisement. Out of the box, It only goes 20mph with or without pedal assist - if there is some way to change it to 28mph I can't figure it out. The battery capacity does not even go close to as advertised. The best I've ever gotten is around 30 miles and this is with pedaling as hard as i can and HYPERMILING. I weigh about 200lbs and the bike is supposed to be rated for 300lbs, so this shouldn't be an issue. The battery guage is also basically worthless. The first 30% or so it will seem to work according to the "max range" rating, IE it will drop around 10% every 4-5 miles. Then, the further it drops, the more rapidly it will decline, to the point where once it hits 50% it only takes 5 or 6 more miles to go completely dead. EXTREMELY disappointing as I specifically bought this to do a 32 mile round trip which in my mind was well under the limit. Lastly, for tires that give the appearance of high durability motorcycle tires, they are GARBAGE. I got a flat on my very first day riding it from a freakin GOATHEAD. Anyone in california should be familiar with them, but they are a common weed in the high desert areas that have hard prickly seeds with thorns about 2-3mm long. WORTHLESS for an all terrain bike. I liked this bike the first time I rode it but my feelings about it have gone down hill rapidly since. Best buy please help, let me return this, or help somehow! I'm a little past the return window but this is garbage and false advertisement. Make this right PLEASE.

Awesome bike, worth the price
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This bike was everything I expected and more. I bought this to use it as a form of commuting to work, while also just wanting a new bike. I have found it a comfortable ride, the LCD screen is a cool feature along with the headlight and brake light. If i had to find a negative it would be the weight of the bike but i can live with it as its not a real concern of mine personally.

Beast Mode!
Posted .My son purchased this bike direct from Aventon. It's a beast! The battery life is fantastic, the build quality is exceptional and it rides very comfortably. I have been a bicyclist since 1995 and the Aventure is one of the best fat tire bike options on the market today.
