    Service Includes:

    When we arrive at your home, we'll discuss the scope of work to ensure that services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.

    Mounting your TV

    We'll secure the customer-supplied (or manufacturer-included, if applicable) mounting bracket to a standard-frame wall, and mount and secure a flat-panel TV to the mounting bracket.

    Setting up your TV

    We'll connect one new or existing TV to video components (like a cable/satellite box or a DVD/Blu-ray player) in a single room.

    Professional look

    We'll make sure that all wires and cables are neatly dressed and that wire ties are used when necessary.

    Cleaning up

    After the installation, we'll clean up the work area and remove any packaging your products came in. We'll perform haul-away and recycling if it was previously ordered by the customer and is part of the work order.

    *Our standard mounting service does not include mounting to any surface other than drywall. To order custom mounting, please call 1-800-GEEK SQUAD (1-800-433-5778).

    This service does not include drilling access holes, hiding speaker wire or any other types of custom wire runs or moving electrical outlets to new locations.

    *This service does not include connection of audio components, setup of advanced home theater devices or network setup.

    Additional charges may be required for land travel beyond installation coverage areas. Service returns cannot be accepted after installation services are completed.

      Awful Attitude and Customer Service

      We scheduled to have a large (75") TV mounted that was purchased at Best Buy, using a mount that was also purchased from Best Buy for a lightly smaller TV (65"), again, purchased from Best Buy. When scheduling over the phone, the customer service agent asked many questions, so all was disclosed on what service we were needing, where the TV is going, what size is the TV, what size is the mount, etc. The day of the scheduled service, one of the Geek Squad guys that was scheduled to come, actually called and reviewed the details over the phone, verifying that the mount was the appropriate size, verifying that I just needed the TV mounted, not hooked up to other components, etc. All seemed well. However, upon arrival, the other Geek Squad guy came in, looked at the new TV that we had taken out of the box to have ready, and told me "Nope, this isn't happening" and then crossed his arms and just stood there. When we asked what the issue was, he claimed that the basic mounting was not the correct option for us to have selected and this was a special job, which would be at least $350 more. I explained to him that, when I scheduled over the phone, I had been very honest about how large the TV was, where the mount was, and that the current smaller TV was being replaced by the new TV. Actually, when I scheduled, I was told that because we didn't want components hooked up or wires hidden in the wall that this was a "basic" mount, so this is how she scheduled it. (This was not a request or decision of mine, it was the conclusion/selection that customer service rep came to after asking all of her questions. The Geek Squad guy was just so rude about the whole thing. He was absolutely unhelpful, arms crossed, arguing with me the entire time about what he claimed I must have said or not said on the phone when I scheduled. He had negative things to say about the customer service lady that I spoke to when I scheduled, also claiming that she was incompetent. This was not an apology for his company or company's employee, but more of an insult to both her and I that we so incompetently scheduled this visit. Honestly, it felt like he had no interest in working anymore that day, as it was around 3:30-4 PM when they arrived. I had also booked to have a smart door bell install (again, also purchased at Best Buy) but after he said he couldn't mount the TV, he just left, so I guess I will need to figure that one out on my own as I will not use this service again. Long story short, we make most of our electronics and appliance purchases from them and this is the first issue I have experience, but it has really changed my view on Geek Squad and Best Buy.

      Not sure if there are mounts on the market cheaper than this that work as well. Great range of motion. I can tilt both up and down and side to side so i would definitely recommend for a tv in a large room with different viewing angles. If you are viewing in a smaller room where you do not need to adjust the angle that much I would suggest a cheaper option.

      We have utilized Best Buy to hang four tvs ranging in size from 55 to 75 inches. All services have been performed by courteous Geek Squad techs and in a timely manner. Do yourself a favor and purchase the Geek Squad yearly membership. What's included will save you hundreds off various installation projects. We will continue to use Geek Squad for all our technical installation needs.
