great watch
|Posted .The movie was about literally about Batman vs Robin and THE COURT OF THE OWLS storyline was in the background. Really think that should have been the movie they made but either way the movie was great.

Part 2 of an Arc
|Posted .Batman vs Robin had a decent start but the ending was a letdown. Continuing on from Son of Batman, the relationship between Bruce and his son Damian is still shaky. Damian still shows the objectives of a League of Assassin member by wanting to kill which comes into conflict with his father. Factor in the Court of Owls, a society so old that it dates back to the days of old Gotham, adds more problems to the mix. One of the courts assassin's decided to try and turn Damian against his father by trying to make him kill. He offers to train Damian further which puts a strain on the relationship between him and his dad. In the end, Damian comes to his senses, turns of the assassin and helps his father take down the Court. After it's all said and done, Bruce and Damian have a father-son moment and learn to respect each other. Overall a decent continuation of Batman and Robin's story arc. Part 3 is Batman: Bad Blood

What price justice -- and just who sets the price?
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis direct-to-video release is a sequel to the previous "Son of Batman" movie, in which Batman/Bruce Wayne learned that he had fathered a son, who had been raised by a gang of villains. In "Batman vs. Robin," this son (Damian) is being raised by Wayne & trained as the new "Robin." However, Damian/Robin chafes under Wayne's overprotectiveness and Batman's "no killing" rule. Damian is enticed into joining the "Court of Owls," whose vigilante justice doesn't balk at passing death sentences upon those it deems guilty. But does the Court of Owls really want Robin as a new recruit, or are they just using him as a way to get at Batman? And will Damian still want to train as Robin, even if Batman succeeds in rescuing him? The animation looked great (superior to that of some of the more recent Batman TV series I've seen), and the "making of" featurettes were informative. The film had a relatively dark tone overall, though (often an issue for films featuring the "Dark Knight"), and so would be better for middle-school students through adults, rather than young children. For older children & teenagers, however, there are some deep moral issues raised to think about (& maybe discuss with parents). For the right audience, a worthy effort!
