DO NOT BUY......yet (maybe)
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Do you love battlefield? Well guess what! You're going to be disappointed. Bf2042 leaves behind any kind of class system and single player campaign for call of duty-esque "specialists" (and of course no war stories). The game is plagued with frame drops, has no adaptive trigger support, and absolutely no sense of teamwork. If you're a call of duty fanboy then you kight enjoy this, because it's basically just infinite warfare on a MASSIVE scale. Among other issues there is no voice chat support, no proper scoreboard like in literally every other fps, next to no world destruction (a battlefield staple), no sense of warfare, have to turn headset volume all the way up to even hear enemy tanks, and worst of all no class system. Literally everyone in these 64v64 matches are any of 8 specialists. You're better off buying a ball of rubberbands and throwing that against the wall for entertainment rather than this dumpster fire that calls itself a battlefield game.

Cross platform play warning!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Overall the game is pretty good. Not as good as some of the older ones, but still a lot of fun. If you want to play with ps4 users and you have a ps5, do not buy the ps5 standard disc version. It will not play with ps4 users. The digital version on psn plays both platforms. Best buy would not return it because i had already opened it. Other than that, i plan to see how good the game gets. My 1 star on the ease of use is because there was no warning at all about the cross platform gaming.

Disappointed
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Got this game preorded by my wife for our anniversary, and initially i was excited to get my hands on the new Battlefield game, but the game is incredibly lackluster. The game experiences plenty of glitches and much different gameplay, than previous battlefield titles. If you were lookong for a true sequel to BF4 then this isnt wjat you're looking for. The game is too cartoonish and is more concerned about "looking cool" than being fun. Many of the elements just copy trends in other first person shooters over the past few years, mainly call of duty and apex legends. The increased player count just makes game far too hectic, and completrly ruins what was once a beloved franchise. Skip this title, and if you do buy it buy it used

No punches at Best Buy, this game is just terrible
||Posted .Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This was one of the worst games I've ever played. I haven't played a Battlefield since BF3, which set the bar very high. I was very disappointed in the gameplay, the matchmaking, and the general playability. To put it frankly, this game sucked. Keep your money.

It can be better and I hold out hope
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. It’s not what I grew up playing with BF3, BF4. It’s a little disappointing to see where the franchise is headed but that’s just me. We really need some Grand Bazaar, Op Metro, Op 925 and Op Locker, TDM and native Rush on smaller maps. The nitty-gritty feel of close quarter urban combat is most definitely gone but hopefully not forgotten. It most definitely is possible to cater to everyone and Portal is a great start.

No campaign
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This is a good game if you like only multiplayer. This game kind of felt short-lived since no campaign. I also felt this game is very repetitive not too many extra Maps.

Q: QuestionIf I pre order the physical version, do I get the open beta?
Asked by MyLifeRightNow.
- A:Answer I have still not revieved my Beta code decpite ordering in stores, a month plus ago. Which is incredibly annoying because the the Beta is available now. Poor customer service on best buys side, as literally about 99% of their employees probably don't even know what Battlefield is...

Q: QuestionWhy is there no gold edition for the PS5 version?
Asked by Neil.
- A:Answer I'm getting annoyed waiting. I got $600 in credit with Best Buy. I was even willing to buy a $100 PS store card to do it digitally but they won't let me use a gift card to buy it

Q: QuestionThere’s a preload beta on September 5 and beta starts in September 6-9. Do we get the code on September 5 to preload beta? Also why PS5 doesn’t have gold disc or ultimate disc version ?
Asked by Bfgamer.
- A:Answer Id also like to know this. they're cutting it pretty close.

Q: QuestionWill they be having the Physical disc version of the Gold edition for Battlefiedl 2042? Im seeing the Xbox is digital only for the Gold and Ultimate editions, but ps5 only has standard edition. and it comes with a steelbook.
Asked by Greyfox.
- A:Answer It appears the gold edition is only digital through all stores, so I don’t think it will be listed as physical. I have noticed that the digital gold edition does indeed come with a steel book though so I’m thinking you will get a digital code for preorder bonuses and such but still get a disc in the steel book like standard edition. Correct me if I’m wrong please!!
