An additional supplement to Battlestar reboot
|Posted .Razor was a supplemental TV movie Based on the Battlestar Galactica reboot. Just as Battlestar Galactica was a reimagining of the late 70's TV show, Razor is based on a 2 part episode of the original series. The original episode had the late Lloyd Bridges as commander Caine, a legendary Battlestar commander. However he's sort of a rouge now. In the new version Commander Caine is now a woman, but way more ruthless then in the original. I don't want to give to much away about this movie, I'll just say if you're a fan of the Battlestar reimaging you will not be disappointed. If you're not a fan of the new series, and long for your childhood memories of the original, this IS NOT FOR YOU!!!!

Excellent choice for any BG fan!
|Posted .The stand-alone movies of the Battlestar Galactica series add to the mythology of the show's overriding story arc during its five season run.

Absolutely Powerful
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter seeing the premiere of this show on the SciFi channel, I could hardly wait for the DVD release! Unlike the original series, the viewer gets to see what happened to another Battlestar. After a devasting war, you always want to know, "who else survived?" Battlestar Galactica Razor tells you a story about how Admiral Cain, her crew, and her ship survived the holocaust and persevered against tremendous odds. Admiral Cain (played by Michelle Forbes) may appear tough and incredibly strict with her ways of running her ship, but then again, most great leaders like it "their way." I liked how the story focused on multiple characters from both ships. I truly enjoyed the character of Admiral Cain. It was sad to see how after her death, Pegasus lost absolutely "all that Admiral Cain was" and the "strength of character of all that she was in her ship." The story may be a little difficult to follow if you're not entirely familiar with all the characters. The show flip-flops from the past to the present and it can confuse the unfamiliar with BSG. However, great show, great actors, and a good portrayal of how Pegasus survived.

One of the best DVDs I've ever got.
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendA big fan of the Battlestar Galactica television series. Sorry to hear Season 4 is the last. Have to give credit where credit is due. Sci-Fi Channel puts their all into their TV shows (Stargate; Stargate: Atlantis, etc.) They must put all their money into their television series because the movies they make suck. Especially the CGI they use. Battlestar Galactica: Razor starts of with a bang and ends the same way. You learn a lot more about what you've seen in the previous three seasons. Too much to give any of it away if you haven't seen it. And even if you've seen it on TV, there's a lot more in here that will surprise you.A lot of loose ends tied up. It makes you look forward to the 4th Season just to see what Kara Thrace will do to the last visages of humanity. Can't wait. In the meantime, I'm just watching all the other seasons and I wish Season 3 would hurry up and make it to the DVD shelves at the store.
