      Good sound for bass-heavy music

First let me say that I shopped in the store and was able to connect with my phone listen to my own music before buying. The environment is noisy, but it did help. Secondly I bought two units (this was the first), took them home, and returned them each the next day before settling on a third. Best Buy handled this smoothly. Sometimes brick-and-mortar beats online shopping. I looked at the Beats Pill+ for $180, the Sony SRS-XB3 for $130, and the Bose Soundlink Mini II for $180, in that order. The Beats had good volume, good sound for bass-heavy music, bass boost, and USB-to-lightening cable power. I returned it for less-than excellent sound, and I was disappointed that the lightening cable was only for power - I had thought it would be used for high quality connection to my iPhone, but that is by bluetooth like the others. Also, the sound effects when turning it on and off were loud and obnoxious. Back it went. The Sony had very good volume, good sound for all music, bass boost, but the power is by wall charger with proprietary jack. This was a deal-killer for me, since I want to be able to charge it in the car. For sound alone this may be the best of the three, but back it went. It's also the largest of the three. The Bose had the lowest volume of the three. I generally think that Bose is highly over-rated, however, the sound is quite good considering its size. Reasonable bass, midrange, and treble. No adjustments available. Power is by USB-to-miniUSB, which can be plugged directly into the speaker or into a very nice charging cradle. Voice prompts are useful and not obnoxious like the Beats. There is a rubber pad on the bottom which is good for a table top or dashboard top. All three units are heavy for their size. None are miraculous for sound, since physics limits what can be done with that small size. For household or outdoor use, the Sony may be the best. For overall flexibility including the car, I chose the Bose. Beats may be good for bass-heavy music, particular in the Apple world.

      greater speaker

There are a lot of brands of Bluetooth speakers on the business market, but if you enjoy listening to a good quality, simple, and extremely fashionable speaker then Beats Pill+ is the perfect choice for you. When I was looking for a speaker to purchase I looked at many different brands. One of the biggest concerns that I had was the quality behind the speakers. Beats by Dre has a reputation for having really good speaker quality, but these speakers specifically offer surprisingly deep base with great sound quality. They would be great if you are outside with your friends or trying to listen at home while the speaker is in another room. Beat Pill+ works with almost every major phone and computer. You can connect with both Android and Apple products just by connecting it to Bluetooth or connecting it with a USB plug to any device. The four buttons on top of the Pill+ make changing songs and volume simple. If that wasn’t enough, there is a “b” button that can connect when you want to start or end a phone call. This speaker is for someone that would really want a speaker which is convenient to operate in a very simple manner. Unlike the first two motivating factors. If you’re looking for a speaker that will impress your friends then you can’t get any better than Beats by Dre. They have a reputation for being someone of the most stylish speakers on the market. The outside is a matte finish non-slip texture, which gives the appeal of being high-tech and expensive. The price is a bit expensive compared to other speakers, but when compared to the sound quality and ease of use they don’t seems to cost all that much. I can only assume good sound quality costs more money. Some people would say that the battery life isn’t as long as they would like, but this seems to depend more on the volume level and how long they tend to listens. I would recommend these speakers to anyone that would like to purchase a good quality, easy to use, and stylish portable speaker system.

I now own two of these. I brought one about 6 months ago. I love it. The sound quality is excellent. It holds a charge for a long time. If you play it will the volume up really loud you will not distort the sound but you will drop the battery life. I got a second one b/c Best Buy was running and excellent Thabksgiving dale and dropped the retail price from around 225 to 159. I love have the two playing together. I will put them in different times or in the same room. And the sound really fills the room when I use them together. Just by itself though this little guy fills a room. You can hear the highs and the lows and play a wide variety of music. The quality is outstanding. I would say you can play your beats stereo for about 8-10 hours on one full charge. One nice feature I like is that you can use the divine to charge things. I have done this while camping. I used my Beats Stereo to charge up my iPhone and I still had power left to play some tunes that night. This is an excellent product. Apple allows you to download a Beats App for free from their stor and you can use the application on an Android device or Apple device. It allows you to do a few applications with your Beats stereo if you have 2 of them. It’s an easy to use application. The stereo is well made. You can tell right out of the box. It’s heavy. Very portable. I love. One. And if u get one, you will not regret it. They come in the colors Red, Black or White.

These speakers are pretty great, the sound quality is very good(I'm an audiophile) and the volume is decent as well. I work in a lab environment and on the weekends I like to crank up some tunes. I will admit that I bought a pair of these and paired together they really fill out a large room, while one is really more suited for a decent sized bedroom or bathroom. Overall I'm really happy with these speakers, especially if you catch them on sale, and please listen to other reviewers, about how dirty the white ones can get and even the white carry bag can get filthy just from everyday use, I actually ended up trading these in for a pair in black. I would also add that since Apple now owns Beats, these are tailor made for interfacing with iPhones and iPods from the lightning charging port and included lightning cable to the free Beats app the interface is pretty slick and one of the main reasons I chose this speaker over the competition.

I bought this Bluetooth speaker because I was looking for a speaker to use in my office and also to take on the go. I read a lot of reviews on it that all said good things about this speaker sound and battery life. I was not impressed by the sound. A lot of beats products focus on the lows, this speaker kind of lacks in that. It does have a more balance range but I was expecting the beats signature exaggerated bass. The battery life is good and I got no complaints there. It is even a nice size to toss in your bag whenever you need to take it with you. Also, beats switched to the Apple lightning cable to charge it so that was a plus, since I already keep one at all times for my IPhone. What really was a negative for me was that the description said this included a soft carrying case. It did not and when I took it back the person at the store said it didn’t show up in their system with that description. The Best Buy website shows it and it was wrong. Regular price was $220, I would never pay that for this product. I bought it on sale and ended up gifting it to my kids who liked it more.

      Great Sound with Added Features

Well built speaker. Clearly well constructed and feels hefty but not heavy. Sound across the range is great but definitely soars with bass-featured music (e.g., rap, dance, house). Though, sounds great with singer/songwriters and classic rock as well. Added features of being able to charge a device (e.g., iPhone, Android phone) while listening to music can be a lifesaver as the speaker doubles as a portable battery in a pinch. Speakerphone microphone is crystal clear and actual exceeds the clarity of my headphones with mic. And there is an added convenience if you have an iOS device (i.e., iPod touch, iPhone), you can use the changing cable for the device and for the Pill.

This Pill is far superior to the original pill and it plays very well for a speaker in it's class. I can actually compare this to the $300 Bose SoundLink! The SoundLink is great if you want to listen to songs that aren't as bass heavy and the SoundLink distorts at higher volumes. This Pill+ handles higher volumes with ease and the bass is still pretty good! Didn't notice a loss in audio quality. If you bass in a "small" bluetooth speaker is your number one priority I would definitely look at JBL Xtreme (for $300). The Pill+ has no problem filling a large room with sound and is loud enough to drown out kitchen noises. My primary reason for getting this is to listen to music while cooking so it does a good job at being louder than the blender, food processor, etc.

I waited a few months to write this review. After using the wireless speaker for a day or so, I was so impressed that I bought another one to have that stereo sound affect. Well after a few days, instead of both speakers working together, the volume on one of the speakers would just drop (either the left or right would play not both at the same time.) This happened several times so I decided to immediately return one and keep the other. After a few days of playing, I noticed the speaker would play well with a great bass sound and then out of no where the bass would just drop off. The volume would go down for no reason. I had to manually push the "B" button for it to play again using the bass. I am truly disappointed because I thought Beats by Dre was one of the better brand. I guess not.
