So I had bought the powerbeats 2 refurbished which lasted almost 2 years I loved them until the remote button started to disintegrate losing a volume button ( which seemed to be a design flaw so look out for that if you ever buy the PB 2s (happened to me,my sis and a friend of mine) and look out for the ear hook rubber detaching from themselves and exposing the metal as well ) .I figured ok even though headphones should last longer than two years lets get a new pair to replace these so I said the powerbeats 2 were good to me (until the sudden decline ) let me try my luck with the powerbeats 3.Ordered them on the 4th of January ,arrived on the 11th died on the 13th! It seemed to be working great I was listening to music on my ipod when it just disconnected I thought ok maybe it needs to be charged ...looked at the light ,it's off so i turn it on, it blinks 3 times and shuts off.I try this repeatedly and same blinks 3 times and off. I started to look up what it could be and I'm seeing this has been problem for others.I reset it by holding the power button and the down volume button, even checking to make sure firmware was up to date on the beats website and still nothing.I Now I am without working headphones but at least it's within the return period so back to the store they go.It blows that Best buy no longer has the replacement warranty for these headphones. Positive things about these headphones are that they are lighter and slightly smaller than the powerbeats 2 at first it would connect right away but then I had to connect via the Bluetooth settings options in my iPod but that could just be this defective pair.I wasn't fond of the case for it since it doesn't close all the way No zipper and its particularly soft which is bad if you put your headphones in your backpack( the slit pops open slightly if you don't put them in just right). The ear pieces were kind of hard to get on but easy to knock them off . The charging port doesn't have a cover which I thought wasn't smart of apple especially with dust and maybe sweat while working out I wouldn't think this would be a good idea.I wanted these because of the ear hooks and the extended battery life.Would have been nice if they lasted.Hopes this helps ! It's really a crapshoot!

I have a pair of Beats Powerbeats 3 earphones because I was too scared of losing my air pods, and I liked the idea of the Powerbeats being sweatproof. You'd have a tough time figuring out what's different in quality between the Powerbeats 2 and Powerbeats 3, as they look and feel the same to me. There is no rubber seal for the mini-USB charging cable, it's now always exposed. Also they went a little cheap on the case vs the Powerbeats 2. The best thing for these is the way they sync up with an iPhone. No more stupid bluetooth syncing. Just have your earphones on and near your iphone and you are good to go. Good battery live (more than Airpods)...so it's a decent value. I bought refurbs that were geek squad certified and it's hard to tell if they were used. I was a little nervous buying refurbs...I mean were they really in someone elses ear -- but I didn't need to worry. I found trying to find the right ear adapter difficult. I actually put them on the wrong way at first and it got stuck in my ear canal when I pulled the earphones off. That was a quick lesson in learning I did it wrong. LOL. Anyway, good sound, good for working out. Not cheap. Get them on sale or refurb.

      Great Sound, Awkward Fit

PROS: The sound on these is great! The mids and highs are there, and the bass is really nice and clean. The battery charge lasts a very long time, and they are pretty comfortable to wear for 1-hour workouts. The "earhook" ensures they don't fall completely out of your ears. CONS: The ear canal fitment is awkward and not reliable. I have "normally shaped ears and ear canals", and even after trying all 3-4 ear bud sizes they still don't stay firmly planted in the ear canal when training. Why is this an issue? Because once they become slightly dislodged from the fixed position you place them in--where the sound is great--you lose a lot of the sound and most of the bass. It's easy to just push them back in, but after every set they aren't optimal. Bottom line, I like them and would recommend them and would purchase again at a sale price, but not $200.

      Bought used, still had earwax

Pros: -stay in place during rigorous workouts -comfortable -get loud and block out external noise, but not too much where you can't hear your surroundings -stays charged for about 11+ hours compared to the 5+ on the Powerbeats 2 my dog chewed up Major Con: I bought these refurbished and they still had their last users earwax coated inside them (you get what you pay for?). I had to swab away the small chunks of wax with a q-tip and scrape away the streams of wax along the creases with the end of a paper clip. I was pretty disgusted, but luckily it came with fresh earbuds so the area that had wax wouldn't actually touch my inner ear. CLEAN YOUR PRODUCTS BEST BUY EVEN IF THEY ARE USED!! I would give 4 stars if not for that earwax experience.

New the cost was 199. I got them certified refurbished for 85 dollars. They work great and same warranty as new. I had the power beats 2 and used them 6x a week at the gym for little over year until the cap of the volume button came off. Warranty was out. So I couldn’t return them or had them repaired without a charge. I tried the other brands that hold inside the ear like the jaybirds and they are extremely uncomfortable. To me at least they were. I returned them and got these instead. Oh btw I bought the jaybird equivalent on price the the power beats 3 that are 199 dollars. Hands down the power beats in my opinion feel better. Hold and just sound better. But to each their own.

At first I was skeptical about getting the refurbished ones. But I didn't feel like dropping the 200$ price tag at the same time. I rolled the dice and gave these a try. They came in less than a week. They look brand new never used and so far are amazing. Don't listen to what other people say about them being garbage. They sound amazing, and great for working out. I've only had mine for less than a week and never had any problems with them yet. I'll keep you updated and leave another comment if there are problems that happen

This is the first thing I've ever ordered from Best Buy and it's surpassed my expectations. I've read reviews saying that only the Beats are shipped without anything else so that's what I expected. But they came in the actual box with a Beats charging cable and carrying case with extra ear pieces! The sound quality is superb. I read more reviews saying that they cause pain and are uncomfortable to wear but the best thing to counter that is to experiment with different ear pieces, the ones that come with the beats. The Beats came with a 90 day GeekSquad warranty and a return slip but so far I've had no problems. A great refurbished buy at an amazing price.

I was looking for a good wireless earphones because of my job, I have to move between things and wearing my phone (iPhone) earphones could be a huge problem. I decided to buy this refurbished Powerbeats3... it was a good decision because I didn’t want to spend so much money in something I haven’t used before, but after a few weeks of using this product, I can say refurbished products are almost the same as regular. The earphones work great, are confortable after a couple days of use, the battery lasts, whit average use of calls and music, more that 12 hours one charge, controls work well, and Bluetooth range or radio is pretty great, packing was good and delivery time too... I’m so satisfied
